I was watching the Dallas/Detroit game. With nearly 11 minutes left in the game, the Lions are destroying the Cowboys in Jerry's World 47-9.
But after a Lions sack of Dak Prescott in the 3rd quarter, Hutchinson stayed down on the turf, took his gloves off and mouthguard out. The telecast cut away for two commercial breaks before play resumed.
With gruesome injuries these days, the announcers will tell you about the replay, but will not show it. I had to go on the net to see a slomo replay. For those of you of a certain age, it reminded me of the Lawrence Taylor sack of Joe Theismann on Monday Night Football in 1985, I saw that play live.
For those of you that are oblivious to it, while they were attending to Theismann, ABC showed the replay of the sack/injury almost on a loop for the next 15 minutes. Google Joe Theismann 1985 leg injury if you dare, but be warned it's graphic.
Thoughts go out to Hutchinson for as speedy a recovery as possible.
