When Ross got back into the room, he took a long sigh, and sat on the bed.
"Okay, knowing you for twenty five years, that sigh means something. You just called home, and now you are sighing., What and who told you something?" Kayley asked calmly/.
"It was not home. Vic said that the office and Tim are quiet. I called Fritz. Fritz told me that there is a guy in Anchorage he would like me to meet when the boat gets back there. I knew it would not make you happy, so I'm not going to do it. I want us to be getting along and in love during this long trip" Ross said.
Kayley sighed: "You're right, I'm not happy. This is supposed to be a month long trip, a vacation, no work" Kayley said, calmly but pointedly.
"Okay, then since you dont like it, end of discussion, and I wont do it. Our happiness and your feeling good about me are the only things that matter to me. I will call the guy, tell him I cant see him, and just come up here another time, or do it through conference call or video conferencing" Ross said.
Kayley kissed Ross "Thank You. That's what I needed to hear"
Later that morning, Ross called the person who wanted to meet him, and told them that Ross could not meet them, that he was on hiatus from his office, and did not have access to his computer, and other things in Ross's office. The other man understood, and the men agreed to talk when Ross got back to New York, and do any communication through Video Conferencing, or Ross would come back to Anchorage at a later date.
That day, the ship made its way from Fairbanks, to the "Land Of The Midnight Sun" and the town formerly known as Barrow. As Ross and Kayley, ate, slept and watched shows, late that evening, near midnight, they reached the Northern point of Alaska, "The Midnight Sun" towns, as Ross and Kayley stood on the deck of the ship, held each other close, and marveled at the beautiful colors of the Midnight Sun, and the sky.
"What a wonderful sight. The sun and the sky are so beautiful. I am so blessed to share this with the woman I've loved and been married to for twenty five years" Ross said, kissing the back of Kayley's hair.
"I am also" Kayley said, turning her head, and kissing Ross on the lips.
After docking at the "Midnight Sun" town, formerly known as Barrow, Alaska. and being given two hours to browse. Ross and Kayley stepped off the ship, stood on the deck of the port, looked at the town, and then got back on the ship. After the ship left, at about 3 am in the morning Alaska time, the couple went to bed, as the ship sailed south ward back toward Anchorage, where they would arrive in a bit over three days, at which time their beautiful cruise would come to an end. They had much time to spend together on the ship, in love, and doing wonderful activities before that time.
To the south the ship sailed, past the town known formerly as Barrow, through Fairbanks, other Alaskan ports, and back to Anchorage , on the third night after docking at the Midnight Sun Town.
Ross and Kayley said goodbye to the Captain, the Crew, and others who they had met while on their glorious eight day Alaskan Adventure.
"Let's see. We danced until our feet hurt, as least mine do. We ate until we were in oblivion, we saw wonderful shows, and we spent probably the most romantic vacation together since our honeymoon. I feel so wonderful" Kayley said, kissing Ross upon their arrival at their hotel in Anchorage.
"It was magnificent, both for the boat, the scenery, and most important, the person I spent it with" Ross said, kissing Kayley on the mouth.
After spending one night in Anchorage before their flight to LA, Ross and Kayley jetted toward Los Angeles, and their long stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Ross and Kayley took the six hour flight to LA, landed at LAX airport, hopped into a Limo, (appropriate transportation for going to the beautiful Beverly Hills Hotel) checked in, went to their suite, and put their bags down.
The couple was tired from their long flight, but planned to rest with swimming, sightseeing, and shopping during their week in Beverly Hills.
Thus far, except for the unpleasant 24 hour stomach problems the couple had, and the phone call about the potential Alaskan deal which Ross postponed for the good of his relationship Kayley, it was turning out to be a wonderful vacation.
Would the vacation continue to be restful and wonderful for Ross and Kayley?
That would be seen.
