Advice for FetLife?

Hi, I was browsing this forum for a while and decided to join. I also reactivated the FetLife profil I had made a while ago but deleted. I am wondering if anybody has any advice for using FetLife and this in terms of meeting people? I've never done anything in real life about my fetish. I would love to talk to people who share it, and it would be great to meet women from Ireland where I live who share my interests. But I am only interested in meeting up after talking for a while.

The best thing I'd advise is attending any local munches or get togethers. Even if it's not in a kink playspace, meeting folks in a mild setting is a good way to feel out the crowd. Getting involved in groups will help big time, especially if you already know someone who is a regular event attendee who can help you break the ice. Just don't go full bore into your kinks. Let it happen organically if such a topic rises.

But I am only interested in meeting up after talking for a while.

Use Fetlife to find munches- talking online is secondary to getting a feel for a person IRL. For one thing at least you'll know immediately that she's really female.

According to my moments-ago visit to Fetlife, there are 48,986 kinksters in the Republic and plenty in Ulster as well.

No-one's going to DO anything to you at a munch but chat, munches are always held in pubs and everyone's in vanilla dress. You might be shy but others will be too. Force yourself to go, explain previously in an email to the organiser that you're a newby and he or she will make sure to meet and chat to you upon arrival and make sure you're settled in nicely.

Everyone who's ever gone to a munch has had a 'first time' so just go and be there. It may take a few visits to a few different munches but you'll fit in.

Good luck.

as a fl user in ireland, munches are defo the best start. some i went to had an after party hosted by one of the members , where the vanilla bit drops and you can explore more. met good people thru it and ended up having a few good experinces on there. fl username is irishtickles if u want to chat sometime.

I agree with Cloudgazer2K. Before we moved, the hubby and I joined some FetLife groups and attended 2 munches per month. The groups were different, but some of the same people went to both. The groups were not tickle specific, but they were kink-friendly, and the talk was open regardless of what you were into.

We were welcomed, answered a lot of questions, played with some of the members from time to time, and went to a couple of events at a club- It was actually much easier to connect with like-minded people this way. The groups were established and very consistent!

To be clear, I'm into a couple more things than just tickling. Saw a suspension rope demonstration that had the most breathtaking beautiful rope work that I have EVER seen in my life.

So, yeah... FL was much more successful for me when I was a part of a group or two.
