Hiya

Firstly would like to point out that i have visited the help with codecs page but i am still having some issues

what it is i have HD clip which i have purchased, but i simply cannot find a player that will play it properly, every player plays for a bit then slows up and goes judderly

I have contacted the seller of these clips also but just wondered if you have any suggestions?

many thanks!

The player can be at fault, but it may also be your computer and how much spare processor time it has to play the video. The VLC Player is considered one of the better free media players available. If your clip cannot play well in it, you likely have one of two problems.

1. Your computer is not powerful enough to play the HD clip
2. Your computer has so many other things running on it that it does not have enough spare capacity to play the video well

If your computer is reasonably new and reasonably capable, try rebooting it and playing the clip right when it boots. If that fails, then see if you can find out what programs are open and close some.

If all that fails, the clip may be bad. I know of at least one producer where this was the case (but has since been corrected).

To add to that, VLC 2.0 was just released yesterday...so you might want to give that a try if you're still having problems.

hey guys, sorry to bump this, but just realised i never thanked you both for your replies!! so thanks!!!!, i think its my computer, maybe just not quite powerful enough 🙁

i have made the same mistake recently buying more HD videos! so have also tried modifying the settings on vlc but with no success so ultimatley think it is just the computer

Cheers
