Once you've read the materials, try practicing with your dad and a few close friends...worth a shot...ask for pointers, what turns them off about your presentation, what might help. (and the duck walks up and says......)(just watch out for that black guy with the perplexed look)

My dad isn't around. He's in Florida for much of the winter. He's supposed to come home for my bday on Thursday, but.. the place we're going to be in, a restaurant, isn't a good place to practice. I'm not sure if I'm seeing him otherwise during the few days he will be in NY next week.

Mitch -just some ideas. I actually also got a license for insurance a few years back (won't say who thru/with). As soon as I got it, had to look into "continuing education credits" for my state (check about yours!). But, the way my sponsor company did business, I dropped it all (and a couple of $$$$). I think Aflac is reputable, despite my jokes about the duck (he's just so....), so, good luck, give 'em he... your best. The first few might be rough, but, you'll catch on about how to do it.

I know about the continuing education credits. Ed, the review course instructor told me.

I have to take 16 credits, which is basically two full day Saturday courses, per year, to keep my license active. I was advised to take those as early as possible. I don't even have my license in hand yet. The paperwork wont go out untjl after my bday on Thursday. Once I get the license in hand, I will check about the continuing education, and take the courses ASAP.
