"The room was cloaked in shadows, lit only by the candles Laura had arranged on the floor. The only sound was her voice, reciting ancient words that flowed like whispers through the gloom. Her style was unmistakable: dark hair framing her pale face adorned with piercings, dark eyeshadow, and lipstick matching her entirely black wardrobe, except for the many metallic elements in the form of chains, buckles, and studs decorating her outfit.
As she chanted the lines from the grimoire open before her, something began to change. Purple lines of light started to trace themselves across the floor, forming an intricate circle filled with unknown runes and symbols. Laura’s words seemed to feed the growing energy, which built up until the room vibrated with a low hum.
The air tore like a silk veil, and at the center of the glowing circle, a figure began to materialize. At first, it was a rippling shadow, then a red silhouette, and finally, a small yet imposing creature emerged.
It was an imp, just as the texts had described: smooth red skin, golden eyes burning with mischievous cunning, and a grin that revealed sharp fangs. Her black hair cascaded down her back, and her curled horns and large ears gave her an impish charm. A thin tail with a pointed tip swayed behind her.
—Well, well, what a surprise —purred the imp, crossing her arms as she inspected Laura—. A little goth girl playing demon summoner. How original... "

In case there’s any doubt, Laura is an adult, and the imp in this story is several thousand years old. As for me, the author, she’s only been around for a couple of weeks in my hard disk, ever since I created her for a previous scenario where she was the ticklee. Looking back, I wish I’d published these two scenarios in reverse order to give a sense of karmic justice. However, when I first created her for her original scenario, I hadn’t anticipated liking the final result so much that I’d reuse the character so quickly.
