That's right! I found a few threads recently about Lou Panther's artwork that used to be on www.tbwcomics.com (Don't bother going there now, it's been down for a while). But when I learned about what happened and how nobody managed to save many of the pictures he had done, I did a little investigating...
Anybody ever heard of www.archive.org? It's a site that has a feature called "The Way-Back Machine". It allows you to enter a url and search the archived history of that url during specific dates. The only problem is that it does not have every day archives of each site out there, so it is a bit incomplete. But it still works VERY well for finding previous versions of old sites that have gone dead. It's the perfect solution to broken links that you find all too often searching for tickling media.
Anyways, I decided to have a look and see if anything came up for www.tbwcomics.com, low and behold, I hit the jackpot... the only problem is that some sets are still incomplete and may never be retreived... whether that be because of archive.org's incomplete records, or because of Panther's well-known problematic managing of his site (Which I hear led to his downfall) I'm not sure.
Now, it first was a pay-site, so the first few archives of the site restricted me because you can't get access to pay sites that are obviously long gone. But there were quite a few archives of his site when it went free. The only problem is that it was still missing pictures. You can try and go through the process I went through all over again, trying your own tricks to retrieve the missing pieces of these sets, but I can assure you I thoroughly tried myself and came up empty. I mean I went to each archived date and tried every picture, and what I am about to present you is all I came up with. But you are all welcome to try your own thing. I have given you the instructions on how to try, any questions post them here or PM me about how the archive.org site works.
Finally! What you have all been waiting for! I will post every piece of work I have found around the net/in the archived pages of www.tbwcomics.com right here! Please do not post until I let you know I've finished posting what I've found. I know this thread may get a huge reaction judging from how many people ask about this guy's work.
