If people recall, I posted a few months ago how when my old computer was taken away, I had a ton of foot, tickling, and other pictures saved on it.

I've had my laptop almost three months now, and while I do have some pictures of female feet, tickling, and women, saved on this computer, it seems as though it's much less than it used to be. The total number of pictures I have saved on it is less than 50, somewhere in the 40s.

So.. my question is.. is it bad to have a lot of pictures saved on one's computer, for the hard drive, computer.. etc etc? Or.. does it not really matter if one has.,. tons of pictures of things saved on their computer?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bad in the sense that it affects your computer negatively? Not in my experience. If you have a harddrive that can handle the amount, then you're fine.

Bad in the sense that it could affect your relationship with anyone who stumbles upon those pictures negatively? ...Well, if you're creative about where you hide them, it's not a problem. xP

Thanks, Bothersome. That's my real question. I dont know how many pictures the hard drive can handle.

As far as the other issue you mentioned, significant other. That's not an issue. I'm single.

It all boils down to a number of 1s and 0s. It doesn't really matter if it's pics, docs, or videos. It's all digital information. If you're worried about losing a large archive, you can always invest about $50-$80 on an external hard drive. Then you can back everything up you have and not have to worry about crashes.

Thanks for the info, Flat. I wasnt really worried about losing a large archive. My main thought was whether or not a ton of pictures saved on the computer would cause the hard drive to crash or something.

Thanks for the advice, Wild. I will look into it.

The only problem is really if you delete and add lots of big files then over time a hard drive starts to get fragmented and that can slow down its performance. Usually things need to be pretty bad before that happens and pictures take a long time to do that cause they are not that big in terms of file size. Its easy to fix just defrag your drive like every now and then. 🙂

Thanks kurch.

The things I'm saving on my comp aren't big files. They are just small pics,.
