An alternative to chocolate easter eggs?

I have a ladyfriend I'm trying to impress who doesn't like chocolate. A potato chip alternative to the common Easter egg would be amazing for me, but do such things exist? Somehow I can't see her being too "into" that.

So I need to get her something that screams "happy easter",but doesn't contain a bucketful of sugar. She likes rabbits if that helps.

I'd like as much feedback on this as possible. I love this place, and I'd love it even more if you lovely folk provided me with some much needed advice.

If you two are religious types....what about a nice gold crucifix? It relates to easter and is not chocolatey 😀

If you're like myself and others who celebrate th pagan aspects of the holiday why not just spend time taking a long walk soaking up the wonderful aspects of the changing seasons? She wil enjoy the time ou took to share these special moments just with her.

But a plastic egg, take out the stupid toy that's in it and replace it with something else like:

Gift certificates
Movie Tickets
Little notes that tell her you have something awesome planned like dinner at her fav restaurant or whatever


If you want, you can do this several times and make her go on egg hunt. 😀

Now then. Females I know love getting a beautiful stuffed bunny or chickie; add sugar free jelly beans (they're yummy I promise) and a lovely easter card and maybe a bouquet of spring flowers and you'll be Boyfriend of the Season

Bella and Slap's suggestions about the stuffed bunny are very good. The perfect and heart warming substitute for non-chocoholics.

I might also inquire if you have some type of Ukranian or (to a lesser extent, Russian) exhibit near you?

The reason why I ask is that they make these types of eggs (actually, just the shells with no yolks inside so be careful handling them) that are continuously dipped in wax and dye (I can't remember the process which is rediculous and pathetic considering that I'm half Ukranian with old scholl grandparents from the old country that actually did this in front of me and not to mention the fact that I did it myself about seven times as a kid).

The end result, however, is a keleidoscope(sp?) of design and colour. Very elegant...IF you can get your hands on one or two.

On a more realistic note...I might also suggest that you get your hands on a cute variant of whatever she likes to put in the basket.

Potato chips seem a little garrish under the circumstances.

Not to sound too corny, but avoid items with hard angles. Remember: Easter is all about "squishy, mushy, and cuddly!"

If I can think of anything else that is better or more comprehensive, I'll come back later.

We called it Pysanky. They are gorgeous and the symbolism is really neat.
