Amazing isn't it, the things which we now take for granted which had their origins in the 19th century like photography and sound recording.

I think that's amazing they were able to pull the recording off with only light and a 3D camera. The history nerd in me is giddy. I wish there were ways to hear so many notable people speaking their own words. I think this is just awesome. Thank you for the share.

That they were able to pull usable audio from a conventionally-unplayable record (to say nothing of a mechanical sound-wave drawing from 1860) blows my own audio geek mind too!

An incredible technological achievement; I am awed listening to one of the earliest known recordings of the human voice, and the voice of one of the great minds of his time at that. He is one of those rare figures in history who changed the world with his inventions.
