Hey all. I recently ordered a video download from LIB Productions and have an issue with it. The video i ordered, after downloading, could not be played onm my computer. I then e-mailed the company and have yet to recieve an email back from them. I like thier work, but if they can't return my e-mail regarding a dowloading issue, then i won't purchase from them again. Any help would be great.

It was a sunday - i'm sure they'll get back to you, although from what I can see you paid for a clip and got something to download.

If you couldn't play it, I would e-mail them, but I wouldn't leave messages like that on this board immediately. Its entirely unfair to the producer.

That makes a lot of sense, but i placed the order this past tuesday or wednesday.

Can we solve the problem for you.

What type of file have you got.

Is it xxx.wmv

xxx.rm

xxx.mov

The file extension (or ending bit e.g. .wmv) describes what media player you need to view the file.

Most clips are .wmv (in my experience) and you would use Windows Media Player. I would check that you have the latest Windows Media Player. Download it from their website.

First of all, tell us what happens when you try to play the clip. Does anything happen?

Next - when you look at the icon for the clip, does everything look normal? If not - why not?

Describe it all in as much detail as possible and i'm sure someone can fix this for you and you can get hold of your clip.

Finally, did anything happen during download - was downloading interrupted? Did you get all 100% of the clip? This might be the reason if all other avenues have been exhausted.

I would imagine that the clip producers are mostly amateur, with jobs, real life and holidays. They might not get your e-mails immeiately. Finally, they probably have minimal involvement with the tech side, so perhaps C4S are the people at fault here. I wouldn't e-mail that guy though, as he doesnt seem to respond to e-mails either.
 
Many times there is a codec missing, and sometimes they are tough to find. It's hard for producers to tell customers exactly which one is missing. They should have gotten back to you and at least tried to help.

Laughter is Beautiful Productions here. Sorry the clip isn't working for you. Odd the clip isn't working for you. Make sure you have the latest quicktime video player software.

Just happened to run across this while browsing. Never received any emails or personal message on the TMF from you, man. Maybe you had the wrong email address? Write me at [email protected] with the specific problem and I'll get you taken care of my friend.
 
This is quite possible. I've had customers download it again and there were no problems. As he said, email clips4sale support and try to download it again.
