An anachronism is something that is in the wrong time,

Like the famous (and probably false) story that in the movie 'The Ten Commandments' they had to reshoot a scene because a costumed extra was wearing a wristwatch!

Or the Society For Creative Anachronism, where folks get into pre gunpowder era costumes and have duels and melees with armor and swords and the whole works.
