I've been inspired by navel and Normie's tales of pallete woe.
Now I want to know if anyone else has any cool scar inducing stories to share with us. I know it's a bit morbid but it's been my experience that the really cool looking scars are like badges of honor and their owners speak proudly of going through whatever caused them.

Myself I have a fine looking scar, about 3 inches long and maybe 3/4 of an inch at it's widest though I've never measured it. It's on my upper arm so nobody sees it as I never wear sleeveless shirts. I dont want to go too much into where I got it because it's rather personal. When I was younger I went through a sort of self destructive phase.

Anyway...does anyone else have any tales of blood and glory that they would like to share?

This is actually funny, so go ahead and laugh. I do when I reminice (damn I must be tired, I can't spell even the simplest words right now..).

Anyway, when I was in...oh about 6th grade we used to go to the 1st graders and do this "reading buddy" thing where we would help them read and read stories to them, right?

Anyways, we each had our partners we are supposed to read to, and thats what I was doing. It was Green Eggs and Ham I believe. Anyways, I was reading it to this boy, and then this little girl came up to me and told me to read her the story. I told her I would as soon as I was finished with him. And what did she do?

She lunged at me with a No. 2 pencil (fully sharpened) and stabbed me in the chest with it! No joke! And then shes like "read it to me NOW!" or something like that. I pushed her off me and she got in trouble. The teacher put some medicine on it after I pulled out the lead. All things considered all I got was an apology from the teacher and no one else! LOL

I still have the scar to this day on my chest. Its about 3 two inches long and is white. Its hardly noticable unless you were to view it up close.

I also have a bigger scar above my right knee. Its also white and doesn't show up unless you are looking for it. Its longer though, about five inches. I got this scar from playing with the dog we had. I was running from him in the backyard and I slipped and feel into the part of the lawn that didn't have grass at the time and had hard dirt and little rocks. It was a complete accident, unlike the girl...LOL

I could have even more scars that I don't even know I have. Thats probably true for alot of people.

hehe..i think i seen that on "when people attack"..yeah..my senior year..i used to help kids who had trouble reading during my study hall..id go to the elementary school and tutor them..i had one kid bite me..lmao...i was like..what the fuck! lol..crazy little mofos down there..lol.anyways..i was pleased to hear that he raised his grade from an f to a b+..he used to be a waterboy for our football team..and only that kid could bring me a water bottle..anyone else and he'd throw down with them..

I have 2 great scars on my chin--one from dancing/slipping in the bathtub when I was 2, and one from flipping over the handlebars on my scooter when I was 10 and landing on my chin on the sidewalk...ouch...

My scars that I'm most proud of are the 2 I have on my left breast. I had surgery 2 years ago this august to remove what they thought, before pre-op, was just one lump. When we got to pre-op, they found a second one. I have a history of breast cancer in my family, and I was only 20 so they didn't think I had it but better safe than sorry. My aunt died of breast cancer during the summer of 98, and I had my surgery not long after the anniversary of her passing. I think it was Navel who said he saw his lover during the surgery...I'd spent a month before the surgery in denial...attempting to stay strong for family and friends. When they were wheeling me into the OR, after they told me the found another lump, I lost it, just as the meds started dripping into me from my IV to make me sleep...before I fell asleep, I saw my Aunt kinda floating above and to the side of my gourney...holding my hand. During the surgery, she stayed and watched to make sure the doctor got everything...she was gone when I woke up. But as soon as I saw her, I knew I would be ok. And I was--I'm cancer free, and I have two scars to prove it!!! At first, they looked like hell...I cried for 2 hours after I took the bandages off a few weeks after the surgery...I thought I was hideous, and I couldn't look at my own breasts...how could someone else look at my "deformed" boob and find me attractive ever again? Well, the scars healed, I healed, and my boobs ROCK!!! My battle wounds are barely noticeable, but everyone that has seen them (sorority sisters, boyfriends, girlfriends, etc) all say that they look awesome and that I have a bad ass boob!!! So that's my story!!!! 🙂 😛

I've got a small white scar running across my left eyebrow. Now very noticable as my brows are very light in color. A curtain rod came down on my head when I was horsing around with my brother one day and gashed me open.
Anyway...you know how head wounds bleed. I was 3 or 4 and came running to my dad with my hand over my eye and blood EVERYWHERE saying "my eye! my eye!". Scary!

my head wound..i got up..laughed..walked the wrong way..and said..wow did i just fuckin crash and burn..i fucked myself up..then i sang a rap songs all the way to the hospital..i sang rubberband man and I dont wanna know..lmao..chris said i was a good singer..i think hes crazy..and i got him to get his car up to 100mph down a clear straightaway..i wished he would of took my car..we could of got to at least 120mph..lmao..anyways..no one is as hideous as i look..i was afraid krystle would like me after seeing that..but i am glad to say i was wrong..and that she still likes me the same

i dont need bling bling on me..nope..so its all going to my ride..my ride..is sleek..yet sporty..inside..its blue neons with a classy look..nothing too fancy..and the outside..is sporty..and under the engine will be sportier too..especially once my warranty runs out on my engine..and i buy a new monte carlo engine..the one that is supercharged..so i fly right by ya..oh yeah..and since its only putting out 267hp on the front wheels..275 foot/lb torque..i will take it well over 300hp 325ft/lb torque..so dave..while your just walkin i will fly right passed ya at 140...then hit the e-brake..pop a 180 and swing back to pick up ya balla ass..haha..then i will go help ya school some guys in street ball..i have no moves..but power moves..crack some skulls a bit for ya

I Have Two Scars On My Left Wrist, Each 7 Stiches Long. I Got These In The Early 1990's From A Chainsaw Accident. * Sings Offkey As Always* " I Fought The "saw" And The "saw" Won..." I Was Bitten By A German Shepherd( Or Was It A Dog? Lol!) When I Was Age 9, Requiring 3 Stiches On My Left Thigh. I Also Have Scars From Childhood Surgery On My Stomach. Like The Lovely Camel I Am Proud Of These Since They Saved My Life. Hell, I've Had More "threads" Than Tt!

I have a scar below my chin from slipping from the top of a large, wet rock I was standing on and banging my chin against it. It created a second mouth and required about 5-6 stitches...and they didn't have anesthetic too.

Got a burn scare on my shin from fooling around too close to a burning pile of hell notes. The wind blew and one piece flew to stick to my shin. When it first got burnt, my skin developed large bubbles beneath it and I was very little at that time. It really scared me.

Had a left shin fracture when I was 9 years old...no scars to prove though.

Have a large patch of upper arm skin pigmented from being scalded by hot soup. This is my most prominent scar.

Other scars include the yearly holes on my fore arms from practicing intravenous infusions (I'm a combat medic in the military) and various patches from past skin diseases.

Is this a really current pic? The scar will fade away eventually, don't worry.

Try getting a tan. When you're tanned the scar become really faint and unnoticable. At least it works for me.

yeah i just got my stitches out today..and they said it will fade away even if i massage it..so..maybe it will go away..and i tan nice..my nationality background has some native american and spainish in me..so..i have darker skin in the summer..

That's really good! Somehow if you get a really dark tan. Scars on the tanned area seems to disappear. Well at the very least, they wouldn't be the pale scar tissue colour anymore.

I've never tried massaging to reduce a scar, maybe I should try it!

yeah the doc..hes a plastic surgeon..told me to massage it wednesday to reduce the scar..hes got several degrees...harvard, seton hall, new york university...
