I've got into anime properly in the last few months, loving it so far! But I'm not sure which ones to watch, so I want recomendations...

So far I've seen:
Trigun (Peace and love!)
Elfen Lied (My absolute favourite, I actually nearly cried at the end, but don't tell anyone 😉 )
Bleach (Pretty darn cool, though seems to be going a bit DBZ with the power)
Suzuka (Suprisingly I liked this, even though its a dating type one. Guess I have got a bit of girl in me after all ^^ )
Tsubasa resevoire Chronicle (Yup, pretty much love this one too!)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (Well, I can see why its cult, but a little too confusing for my tastes. Good though 🙂 )
Canvas 2 (Kinda cute and nice, I'm liking it so far)
Gunbuster 2 (Another odd one, they like their topless girls it seems 😵 )
Air (I really like it, though I cant see any main plot forming up from what I've seen yet upto ep 4. )
Battle programmer Shirase (Yeah, watched the first episode of this, 10 minutes long, dont think i'll be carrying on with that one ^^ )
Black cat (only just started this one so the verdict aint in yet 🙂 )

Sooo, anyone got any suggestion on what to watch next?
 
Oh yeah, saw the ghost in the shell film too, but there's a series aint there?
 
Theres ghost int he shell the movie, then theres ghost in the shell2:innocense which the movie sequel, then theres the ghost in the shell series: stand alone complex. Im watching elfen lied now on anime network. Its pretty disturbing.

I love Elfen Lied so much! Watched them all through in one go. I wont give any spoilers and ruin it for you, just will say I loved it 😀 .
 
omg, i love ghost in the shell. i have the first movie and all the episodes of SAC.

i'm wanting to get into some other anime as well.

another favorite of mine is Big O, loved that show, too bad they don't make more of them.

Mahou Sensei Negima
Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan
Naruto (uncut)
 
Okay, now for my VERY long list...

The Slayers/Slayers Next/Slayers Try - Perhaps the first anime series I really got into. Swords and sorcery, spoofed to heck! Funny as hell, good character design, and it can actually be very serious at times as well.

Ghost in the Shell - The TV series and the 2 movies. Yay for cyperpunk!

Trigun - *tries and fails to do the guitar riffs played during the intro*

Evangelion - A classic, and an all round mind bender. I have probably read every online theory in existance and only now is it starting to make sense! 😛

Mai Hime - This isn't your average magical girls anime, it's a kick ass show! With lesbian action....okay, I lied about the last bit! But it's definatly implied in some scenes.

Full Metal Panic - Kick ass mecha series!

Elfen Lied - EWWW! THE BLOOD! THE BLOOOOD!!!

Initial D (unedited) - Cars! Cheesy pop music! Cutting edge CG! COOLNESS!!

Escaflowne - What you get when you cross mecha, fantasy and a love story. Stunning visuals and perhaps the best soundtrack I've EVER heard!

Cowboy Bebop - Did you seriously think I was going to leave this out?! 😛
 
Never seen Cowboy Beebop 🙁 . Been told its good so will have to check it out 🙂 .
 
i'm also hooked on full metal alchemist, love that show, and kayla hawkeye is pretty cool, everyone have that video clip where she has her feet licked by her dog? it's pretty sweet.
 
I love that show; some cussing, yes, and some blood, but I still love it. 😎
 
I second Jayman's Azumanga though I also reccomend you read the manga. It's a weird sort of humor but if you find yourself liking it then it's fantastic. =^_^=

I recently watched Puni Puni Poemy and it's pretty good for making your brain leak out your ears.

Fullmetal Alchemist is always a good one to obsess over (as I do)

If you want to read some I recommend you look at Love Hina...though watching the anime will ruin the experience so don't bother with it.
Chobits is another real good manga. The anime was okay too though I thought it fell a bit flat. It has some real funny parts though.

If you haven't seen Cowboy Bebop then you have to immediately. Since you're in the UK I don't know what you get on tv but Adult Swim ran it here forEVER...so it was hard to miss.
And if you like that you'll probably like Wolf's Rain which is like Bebop but with a little emo thrown in.

I will add (for the Americans among us) that Ghost in the Shell 2nd gig is currently running on Adult Swim on Saturdays. This I guess would be the second season though it acts like the first never existed. It's like an alternate timeline or something.

Inuyasha is so popular that the elitist fanboys don't like it. But I do. Sue me.

Another short but farkin insane is Fooly Cooly (FLCL).
And also Read or Die (aka R.O.D.) is fantastic. Both the OVA and the tv series.
 
Tricky? maybe...depends on how you aquire things.
You can be a total bastard (like me) and use bit torrent.
You can be wealthy as hell and buy the official dvds (or not wealthy and just dont buy many).
You can try buying used on ebay or something.
You can find a good video store and rent.
Or you can join Netflix or Blockbuster online. I joined netflix a little bit ago. I don't mind the expense much and I can still be a bastard and make copies if I want something that badly. XD

Great for fansubs and the like! Prob is once they become licensed in the UK, US or anywhere really, its becomes a lot harder to get them 🙁 . If ya got any good torrent sites where I can get these series from, I'm all ears. Or eyes. Or both really 😵 .

Mahoromatic (I'm trying to get my hands on these myself....with little success...0 seeders)
Witch Hunter Robin (this is by far one of the best I've seen, serious and mature)
Love Hina (there I go again, the manga's way better)
Grenadier (might not be your cup of tea, I find the female lead very sweet and cute)

Recent Ones:
Black Cat (don't stop watching this, I've been following the manga and I am hooked)
FF7: Advent Children (if you're an FF fan AND have played FF7, Tifa is so hot, hell feels like the North pole...but this is a 3D animated motion picture)

FF7:AC is soo good 😀 . I D/led it the day it came out, and was so impressed. But then I liked the first FF film, the spirits within.

Yeah! I watched the show subtitled when it wasn't liscensed here. Saved that one. 🙂 Watched it over and over. Just made me tingle.

I can't say I've seen an anime I didn't like very much. I'll let you know when I do. 🙂
