Currently in the making:

ISM1 (IloHnoH's Slot Machines part 1) Theme: Pirates

Update!
The game has been RELEASED!
You can find it overhere in IloHnoH's Corner!

I have attached a little teaser picture and it really IS a teaser this time because the most exciting part in this game is currently hiding behind the red curtain.

Okay. So what to expect?

First of all, it's obviously a gambling game and from the picture it is clear that it's a three reel slot machine. This first one is Pirate themed and so you can see that the images on the reels are pirate related as well (except for the feather and the question mark, which are special symbols).

The machine has the regular 'hold' buttons which start blinking when you can use them, but it has some extra stuff as well. I will talk about those more in a moment.

There's a "Bet" button, which you can use to raise the bet (the default is 1 credit, but if you want to gamble with higher stakes and through that win bigger IF you win) you can hit that button. Currently I'm thinking of making the maximum bet 10 credits but I have not made my final decision on that yet.

You see a 'higher' and 'lower' button on the machine, as well as 'gamble' and a row of three buttons on top as well. These are for the special features which you can get by seeing a question mark symbol appear on your win-line. I am not going to talk more about those for now, I may cover that later or you will find out during play what it is all about.

The Gamble button activates for example when you win something (let's say you have two cutlasses and a feather on the win-line). You win a multiplication of your bet... but with that you can gamble even more. Just press the gamble button and shove in the rewards (or lose it all if you have bad luck). If you want to play it safe or you don't want to gamble with it you can press the 'collect' button to receive it.

All of that is pretty standard and has nothing to do with tickling. So where's the tk fun coming in? Well, see the word "PIRATES" at the top? You're going to like those letters. Each time a reel stops at a picture that is accompanied with a letter, that letter will light up on the top. Once you have collected all the letters, the victim will be tickled.

Ah... but where's the victim you wonder? Well, during game-play the curtain on the right will be opened. Behind it is a glass container with in it... someone who I am not yet revealing. She can't get out of there, she's there for your entertainment. At first she's just staying put, standing there with her hands against the glass. But as you gain more credits you can 'pay for undressing'. The more clothes you remove from her, the more 'restless' she becomes and she will take different poses, stand or sit, move around from time to time. And of course you can have the machine tickle her when you have earned it.

The game is pretty far in development already, reels can spin, buttons can blink, the artwork is mostly done (I only have to do a few more clothing pieces), some functionality is not in yet but that's just a bit of coding yet to do.

What's more: I'm planning to make more of these. It's a series. I won't yet tell what other themes I have in mind for upcoming Slot Machines, but I will already tell you that the credits you earn in ANY of the slot machines, you keep and you can use cross-game. So if you undress the lady that is 'attached' to this pirates slot machine, you can walk over to another slot machine (with another theme and another woman) in this little casino and use your credits to start gambling there. If you have earned enough credits in one machine you can EVEN use those to undress the woman in the other themed machine right away. How cool is that? 😉

Anyway, that's all for now. Mind you that the attached picture is still a work-in-progress (although it's really close to what it will look like in the end) ... the machine's lever is still missing from this picture, as well is another thing or two.

Edit: Okay, I added a picture where you can see that there actually IS something behind the curtain... but it's empty there, not to reveal what will be inside just yet. You can also get a bit better idea of ... yeah, it's a bit like an aquarium 😛

A quick update. 🙂

The game is technically operational. You can spin, hold, gamble, collect letters, win credits and lose them. So basically I already have a working game. It's just missing a couple of key elements:

- The character poses (minor graphical task to be done)
- Dressing and Undressing (not a big deal, can't really implement it without previous point though)
- saving (useful if you want to quit the game and continue the next day)
- Credit recovery procedure (if you happen to run out of cash - handy to be able to get some back so you can continue gambling again. It's a simple thing but just haven't gotten around to put it in yet.)

Other tidbits:
- I made it possible to use the keyboard for input in addition to mouse (makes it quicker for some). So you can spin by pressing space, place bets with the B key, hold with key 1, 2 and 3, etc. (The only thing I didn't put hotkeys for is dressing up and undressing)
- PS: Why would you want to dress her UP? Well, if you run out of credits, that's a good way to get a bunch of credits back. 😛
- I ditched a couple of features that I had planned (things activated by the question mark sign, which I talked about earlier). E.g. the "higher-lower" game has been scrapped, as has something I called "letter frenzy". The cool feature "spin a reel" is still in (and working). When you collect all letters of the word PIRATE, you'll be tickling the victim for a little while and you can rotate the reels in total three positions (that's what the arrow keys above the reels are for, in addition to the hold keys).
- EDIT: Forgot to mention... while you can bet from 1 through 10 credits per spin... it may be a little tedious to click multiple times to get e.g. 7 credits. Here's what I put in: You can double click the "BET" button to raise the bet to 5 or 10 instantly. In addition, using the 'F' key on the keyboard you can "FIX" the bet, which will load it up again automatically every time you are ready to spin again. You can unfix it with the same letter, or by pressing the BET button (which actually raises the bet)

Project completion estimation: This weekend. (It's a fast one, it's an addictive one, it's really cool I think).

Before getting the new 'Merja' page out, quickly posting another bit of information here: it's the win-chart for the ISM - Pirates game.

And a few words on it.

There are in total 10 symbols. 8 of those are related to the pirates theme, the other two are a FEATHER (because it's a Tk game) and a QUESTION MARK.

Now the QUESTION MARK is sort of a WILD-CARD while the FEATHER sort-of acts as a JOKER. Whenever the question-mark shows up: you win something. The more you get the more you win of course, but one is enough. It doesn't matter what other positions the other reels land in. One question-mark only gives you a 'x2' bonus (which basically doubles whatever you bet). That's the lowest pay-out, but it WILL activate the gambling feature as well. Each time that you gamble (and win) you increase the multiplication and this up to 10 times (getting 10x is freaking hard though! But getting a double, tripple or quadruple is pretty well doable if you have a good reaction speed.)

The feather (as I said) acts a little as a Joker card. While getting THREE OF A KIND (e.g. 3 ships) gives you a win, getting TWO OF A KIND + 1 FEATHER gives you a slightly lesser win. See the attached chart for more info.

And so... if let's say you bet 6 credits and you get 'skull - feather - skull' then you get a x4 multiplier, making your bet of 6 into a 6 x4 =24 credits. This you can then increase to 48 credits if you gamble, 72 if you gamble again (successfully that is), etc. Gambling comes at the risk of losing it all, so be careful with that. With a bit of skill and a bit of luck you can make good progress in this game. It's not only luck and if you play it well it should pay out better than the games in the casino. (Good too, otherwise you'd never get to undress the girl, eh?)

At the bottom are the prices for undressing and the pay-outs for putting clothes back on. The latter is necessary if your credits drop to 0 and you need new credits. You won't get as much back as you pay to take her clothes off, it's better to keep them off if you can.

Anyway, check back later for the release!

Okay,

Another update on the development.

Things are looking good. VERY good.

- Graphics: all done.
- Coding: 98% done.

What's still missing:
- Activation and deactivation of the tickle sequence (two different 2-frame animations)
- Saving and loading

More information:
So the game starts with the curtain closed. You should have 50 credits the first time you start the game. As soon as you press the 'Bet' button the curtain will open and reveal your victim (to be undressed and tickled if you're lucky enough). You start gambling and win credits (hopefully). If you win enough credits you can press the 'undress' button (see in the new screenshot) and the machine takes away one of the clothing pieces. (The 'victim' will try and prevent this as is also graphically shown 🙂 ). If you happen to run out of credits you can reverse this process. Giving back some of her missing clothing will return a bunch of credits to your 'account'. Then you can continue gambling again. If you run out of clothes to return to her AND you run out of credits: do not worry! The 'redress' button will start blinking again and pressing it will activate the credit recovery feature.

Credit recovery feature: If your 'victim' is completely dressed and you run out of credits, pressing the 'Redress' button will close the curtain again (so you can't see her any more). Every real-time minute that you keep the program running and keep the curtain closed you will receive 1 credit again. (once you have at least 1 credit, the 'bet' button will light up again... and you can gamble with that right away if you wish, opening the curtain... but if you have nothing to do anyway or want a break, just wait a little longer). The maximum amount of credits you can gain this way is 50 and you get those after half an hour. So, if after pressing the 'redress' button the curtain closes and you wait for 30 minutes... the curtain will open on its own again and you have received the 30 credits plus 20 bonus credits. (see also screen-shot). This way you can't really run out of credits ever... but still you want to try prevent losing everything because it limits your play a bit.

Planned release: Sunday June 14.

Luckily (for you) I tend to pre-announce these and give a couple of updates on the progress along the way up till release. Of course checking IloHnoH's corner on a regular basis helps you find games that you earlier missed as well (but they are not pre-announced there).

Anyway, it's a matter of hours before you should be able to play this. Keep an eye on this thread and on IloHnoH's corner. Thanks for your interest.

not there anymore 🙁

Hold your chin up there Little Timmy, Ilohnoh has had a lot of projects over the years here. He's been on a little hiatus. I am sure that he will be back and you can ask the status of this project.

Or just fire off an email, perhaps he'll tell you whats up.
