I have been coming here for a couple of years and have gone to hundreds of sites without ant problem until the past two weeks. I alterted the forum last week that the new free tickling site sends a trojan horse with its mepegs that disables antivirus and then sends your pc data somewhere. Today I went to the dungeon madiams website and was trying to download its free clip called "abducted" instead of the clip it tried to send something called r8setuppconly.exe. Be on your toes everyone.

i think i can straighten things out...
i'm a computer expert myself and i might be able to help. you would only know if it's a trojan horse only if it has struck, unless the creator is really crappy and your anti-virus picked it up. a trojan horse damages your computer after it slips by. only a WORM transfers data, etc. and by the name of the .exe program, it definitely is real one player ver. 8 install program.
hope you understand and i didn't bore you with the techno mumbo-jumbo.

There are two truths here
I believe it is the duty of anyone here who believes there is a problem with a website (such as a virus, worm, etc.) to mention it to his fellow posters, but only if he/she is blown off by the owner of the site. Also, The BIG difference is in how it is done. Hysterical or angry posts full of inuendo and ire is damaging especially because it may not be true, and is about 90% accusation. I can't imagine any host diliberately placing a virus in their downloads if they want to stay in business, so if there actually IS one in it, it needs to be taken care of, and I'm sure anyone would be desirous of doing that asap. Jetski's post wasn't all that angry, just wanting to warn people. Turns out he was wrong, thankfully. I would suggest getting in touch with the webhost first next time. If they are responsible people they themselves will mention it and let everyone know when it is taken care of.

the only possible way of getting a normal company to attach virusses to their downloads is simply having some1 break in to the server and fucking around with the files
but seeing the fact that's luckyly a very rare occasion, you'd better just make sure you aint the flaw
