Collected up my latest doodles, and thought I'd post them to confuse everybody.

1. Here is the heart-wrenching story of when the pirate met the butler, the events that followed, and how the experience changed both of their lives forever.

2. This one's just a dude getting chased by loads of cats.

3. This one is of me getting uppercutted by a pirate, only I didn't want to draw myself, so I drew a box with "Senshi" written on it instead.

4. Based on a true story.

5. ... I can't explain this one.

Feedback welcome.

Some awfully cute, creative material! The strips work quite well (I particularly like the butler character in the first: very nice design!) The simple line drawings and easy plot progression remind me of Jules Pfeiffer or Sergio Argones. You have a good handle on short and one-panel format... think you'd ever try a longer, continuing story one day? That would be fun!

Actually, I never thought of that - there's food for thought. 😀 Thanks, LBH!

I like the irony of the first one. The fact the butler made quick work of the pirate is funny (unless the pirate is clumbsy and stabbed himself by accident, either way, its still funny).

I still say you should do a comic strip. The simplicity of your art is well suited for something like that.

Your pics remind me of Dilbert comics for some reason.... If you haven't read any, I recommend that you do! They'd probably give you a good laugh!

Thanks guys! 😀

Vlad - you were right - the butler turned out to be a wee bit quicker than the pirate had in mind. 😉

Kyokushinkai - I used to watch "Dilbert" on the TV a few years ago, and I think it's part of my inspiration for the comics I do that take place in offices (in this case, #4).

Here's another one that I'm positive Dilbert was behind - I did this one on MSPaint a few months ago:

That's pretty inspired, themeatically: escape from didactic badgering into unrestrained naked freedom. A message coming from the visuals rather than the text... I like it!
