Sometime, I think last year, I posted an issue with one of my first blog entries having comments that significantly pre-dated the entry and were intended for another blog entry or message. I don't think I got much follow up or resolution, but it also didn't recur on additional blog posts I had made, so I mostly forgot about it. But now, my most recent post is also suffering from this problem. As I said before, I suspect that the database auto increment id for blog entries was reset at some point, or something of that nature, leading some comments to be associated with multiple blog entries. In any case, this can be a very confusing problem with very misleading community engagement. For example, imagine a very positive or vulnerable blog post, with a bunch of misaligned negative or dissenting comments attached to it that were intended for a different blog entry. The author and viewers alike might not always recognize there is even an issue, which could lead to confusion and contention.
