what if someone who liked to be tickled wasn't ticklish at all?

Wow

That would just be scary. Its kinda like that joke: "How do you torture a masochist? By NOT whipping them." Seems like that would be hell.

How would they know they liked to be tickled though, if they weren't ticklish? They would have no idea what the sensation felt like, to base an opinion of enjoyment on.....?

Good point...but what if they had been ticklish once and enjoyed it but for some reason lost the ability to feel it? Depressing thought:sowrong:.

I kinda went through what 46and2 said when I was in my teens. I liked being tickled (still do) but am more of a tickler. I learned to block the sensations and the longer I did that the less ticklish I was. By the time I went to college I had to "remember" how to be ticklish (it was easier to have tickle fights that way lol!) and now I am probably more ticklish than when I was younger.

This is true, and something I can somewhat relate to. While I am still definitely ticklish now in my 'grown-up years', it's nowhere near the intensity I enjoyed when younger, and I'd love to gain back that level of sensitivity again. *sigh* Depressing thought, indeed! lol

I have a cousin who was very ticklish as a child, but was no longer so once she reached her 20's.

Not that she ever liked it, no, she is not one of us. But it does happen that some people lose their sensitivity to tickling when they become adults.
