Following in steve's virus warning.
I just got one sent to me to my "tickling" email address.

It's winxp. zip I think. So watch for any emails. My antivirius program detected it as soon as it went into my inbox, so I deleted it without opening it.

It could be a random thing but just in case, wanted to warn my community. BTW, I liked Sean-luc Picard better. 😉

I actually got an e-mail today from somebody called "Jailidous" or something like it, and the title is "FUn Game" with a 130 KB attachment. I haven't opened the mail but i don't recognaize the name. Anybody else get anything like this?

I'm not sure if this is the same virus that everyone has, but it sure sounds like it. Check this page out on Symantec's site and download the fix if needed:

this might help avoid risky e-mails too:i tried everything to track the sender of my collection of 8 kluz virus`,i finally edited all the yahoo sites from my members list that didn`t permit me to hide my addy from the moderators and allow me to choose to receive no mail from any sources,it`s now been over 3 weeks since i received a virus as opposed to almost daily attacks ! just a thought.😉

Maybe they got mad that I didn't like Capt. Kirk? 😛

Be careful, this one is a nasty virus. Never have gotten back to back viruses attempts before. Nothing like Bat-security. 🙂

Below is the virus Worm Klez defination-

Klez is a mass-mailing worm which searches the Windows address book for email addresses and sends messages to all recipients that it finds. The worm uses its own SMTP engine to send the messages. It can also spoof the 'From' in messages, a factor which has resulted in widespread confusion about the bug.

The subject and attachment name of incoming emails is randomly chosen, making it harder for users to spot. The attachment will have one of the following extensions: .bat, .exe, .pif or .scr. Klez is capable of infecting files.

The worm exploits a vulnerability in Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express in an attempt to execute itself when you open or even preview the message.

Tickling bro is right

Just got a series of the same virus at two different email addresses.
I removed myself from the yahoo groups and hope this ends the virus flood. Man that sucked cuz this virus uses peoples email names. So if you get email from a darkknight, I'm not sending attachments, it's that damn virus and it stole my name!

You'd think people have better things to do.

p.s.- Ghaladin, they used your name in one of the infected files sent to me, so I assume they got you Bro. Don't worry, I know it wasn't from you. Damn viruses. 😡
