Okay, so I've had a re-occurring skin rash/hives on my arms, stomach, and legs since early Saturday morning.

When I first woke up with it, my arms were beet red and covered in hives along with a lot of my body. I immediately took 2 benadryl applied some anti-itch stuff and was able to go back to sleep. When I woke up, I was much better. I went to work and had very few issues. When I got home, I started breaking out again...not as bad, but still all over. Once again, I took benadryl and went to bed. I once again woke up with the rashes mostly gone. After getting the rashes again, I went to a clinic. They looked at me, told me I was having an allergic reaction to something, gave me a steriod shot and prescribed and anti-histamine. I took it and they mostly went away again. Now, it's midnight and they're back....mostly on my arms, stomach and chest.

I've already washed my bedding, I'm wearing different clothes, I haven't used any new detergent, I changed the soap I was using in the shower, and haven't really eaten anything unusual lately. I've never had a problem with food in the first place. The most exotic thing I've eat in the past couple days were some fried plantains. I hung out with my girlfriend on Friday night...we went and shot pool and watched a movie together. She said the only thing different she had done was use a new hair product.

I also buy merchandise from the public 5 days a week...mostly books, magazines and records.

Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated

Be prepared for a deluge of responses advising you to "go see a doctor."

It looks like some form of sumac to my untrained eye. Believe it or not, the best cure I've seen for this kind of thing is prednisone. The steroid kicks your healing factor up to near-Wolverine levels.

If you need a high powered steroid, then you are going to need an appointment with a dermatologist.

hydrocortisone cream has a very low dose of a steroid that causes inflammation to go down. Combining that with Benadryl to suppress that initial allergic reaction that's still flaring up, might do the trick.
