I've got a Jack Russell terrier, they rock 😀 They don't take no crap from other dogs, even ones who are precisely 48837 times their size.

I have a wonderful dalmation named Misty

she comes from a championship line, although she herself is not a showdog, but we think she's the best!
 
Border Collies!!!!

I am in fact getting one sometime mid March. From a breeder. The mom dog or bitch as she is refered to is an award winner and is being bred by another award winner. Pups are due to be born mid Janurary and my little pup, who will be named "Jake" will be available to me for pick up mid March.
Border Collies are extremely smart and obediant as well as protective.
I plan to train Jake well and eventually enter him in shows and contests as well as use him for future breeding.

While I love all dogs and animals for that matter. The Border Collie is my all time favorite.
Golden Retrevers and Labs are second and third. Huskies are number 4.

Mutts...

And strays, and dogs others don't want. I prefer their company to that of most of the rest of my species. Our ability to befriend such angelic creatures is basically one of the few reasons I hold out ANY hope for the human race. Woe to they who can't or won't look into the eyes of an animal and truly find the only God you'll ever need. It's all there.....

I love dogs that remind me of my childhood companion, a small, round white poodle with a little black nose, named "Putih" ("White One"). I also am partial to Dachshunds (sp?), since I think they are very cute. I also love all cats and all rabbits, by the way -- pretty much anything small and fuzzy 🙂 🙂 🙂
 
Call me a heretic, but I believe animals have souls and when ur beloved friend dies ull see him in Heaven.

My favorite breed of dog is.... ANYTHING!

I've had a pointer as a child. She was incredibly smart and fun.

I had a mutt named Scooter. She was a Border Collie, Springer Spaniel and Australian Shepherd mix. What a delightful baby she was. She was the first dog I had after I left home. She used to LOVE it when we'd have gatherings at the house. She really adored DVNC, Affectionate Dan, Ter and Kimmie. But actually she loved EVERYONE.

Now I have Laguna Seca, a two year old border collie. She's papered but we don't show her. She's tri-color, high energy and loves to snuggle. And she LIVES to play ball. Every morning she lines up her balls in front of the bathroom door so when the door opens a soccer game begins!

I also have Talledega, a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit mix who's about a year old. She was a stray who was obviously beaten by her previous owners but she was still so lovable and sweet when we kept her. It's funny. She doesn't like anyone dressed all in black except DVNC. She's turned into a very silly, fun 70 lb. lap dog. She loves to nap on the top back of the sofa with her legs dangling on both sides. And she loves to bring in branches from the trees into the house to show off!

I can't imagine life without a dog around.
 
favorite dog....i have to go with mutt....we have a black lab,german shepard mix...she is the sweetest most intelligent dog i've seen...unfortunately she doesn't move as well as she used to and will eventually leave us...but i have to go with mutts as my favorite type of dog :dog: :dog: :dog: :dog: :dog:
 
I love dogs! I have two, a golden retriever and a mixed breed. 🙂
 
I am an avid animal fan, they are one of precious few sources of unconditional love in this world. In the dog category, I think my favorite breeds would have to be a toss between the husky, the doberman, and the border collie. But they are all sweeties if given the proper love and care (and sometimes even when they are not).

Any dog that doesn't bite me...

I've never owned a pure bred dog...mutts only. I've had five Heinz 57 dogs to date. One still with me. Favorite breed is a tough question. Favorite to look at (from a distance): Shar Peis and Chow-Chows are always cute. Other wrinkled dogs: English and French Bulldogs, Pugs, any Mastiff. Recently, I did a C-section on a Newfoundland...now that's a dog! The mom was huge...and the puppies were almost bigger than some full sized adult dogs! Public service announcement: As the holidays approach, don't give any puppies or kittens as gifts. All too often the unsuspecting recipient is unprepared for such a committment. Even if you've got your heart set on a new addition of your own, the holidays are a stressful time and not a great time to adopt. Also all kinds of dangerous temptations for those curious little mouths to feast on. Loved your thread.
 
Of course theres nothing like hugging a fat little basset hound when ur feelin blue. 🙂

I don't know my dog breeds very well, but there are many breeds of dogs that I like!
 
My favorite breed, hmmmmm

As of right now, we have two mixes. The oldest is Shepherd/Doberman or Shepherd/Greyhound(adopted from the humane society). The youngest is Keeshond/Shepherd(adopted through a rescue). I love the breed, they are very loyal to their family. Although I grew up with many dogs, different breeds, I will always favor the Great Dane. Don't know what it is, but I love BIG dogs. lol! 😀
