In the UK, 'fit' is a slang term for 'attractive'. As well as meaning 'Healthy'. Which is a little confusing for non-Brits. 🙂

fit in the UK is the exact equivalent to Hot in the US.

Americans say "Hot Chick", whilst Brits say "Fit Bird". Before any ridicule starts, if you think about it they both sound as ridiculous as each other. Are americans asking for baby chickens with high temperature? are Brits asking for pidgeons that go to the gym?

I'ma brit in the US so understood his language and the confusion. For the record they do use the term fit out there, it just depends on where in the US you are. I've come across poeple in TN (thats tennessee for my british chums) that say "mate" and thats just wierd.

He does sound like a chav tho.
It's quite funny really.

I can just hear the disinterested low deep southern accent going "any fit girls wanna chat? ... I couldn't help but chuckle.
