Any Other "24" Fans? Post-season musings...

Last night's wrap-up of the second season of "24" rocked! This is the only show that I think I've ever watched every single episode of, and I'm glad I did. I still can't believe that the same network that brings us "Celebrity Fart Date" is capable of such incredible programming.

It's now obvious that there will be a third season. It didn't have the shocking ending that the first season did (I never saw the Nina Myers connection coming in the first season), but it didn't wrap things up nice and neat, either. Now I have to wait another year to find out what the hell's going on! It was bad enough waiting from week to week!

I wish there were more shows like this on TV. I barely turned the thing on anymore execpt for Tuesday nights. Every week there's another plot twist and another reason to keep tuning in. Kiefer Sutherland is outstanding in this series (which he co-produces), and was far more deserving of an Emmy than those Sopranos guys.

Any other fans of this show out there?

I've got to agree, 24 absolutely ROCKS! I've never seen another show like it that is so consistently thrilling week after week.
So by the way, do most people here prefer the first season or the second? I would have to go with the first; there was never that one villian in the second that you just LOVED to hate. Gaines was one of the best TV villians ever, in my opinion. I don't know, I just never really got in to the characters in the second season like Kate, Marie, Carrie, etc. the way I did in the first season with Gaines, Alexis, and Andre.
I felt slightly let down in two ways by this season's finale: 1) We were supposed to find out what Jack whispered to Nina! & 2) The tagline on the preview for the finale was "You'll never guess who's behind it!". Well, they were right; I would never have guessed it was a guy on a boat named Max who I'd never seen until the final two episodes (and I still don't know who he is!)
That being said, the rest of the finale was outstanding; the Colliseum (sp?) was great, Palmer and the cabinet, and Mandy. Way better than last season's finale. I knew that, being 24, they would find a way to shock you in the end, but I never expected what did happen. Surely they can't kill Palmer, though.... 24 wouldn't be 24 without Palmer as the President.
Finally, I have to say that one of the things I think that makes 24 so outstanding show is (and this is the only show I can say this for) the suspense and the fact that you NEVER know what to expect from episode to episode. Although the overall story arc is always good, they somehow manage to make every episode have a subplot that is suspensful. They have also proven that they don't mind killing off characters or setting off nuclear weapons to shock people. It's the one show where I truly feel that nobody is safe.
So in conclusion.... 24 ROCKS!!
