Any users of psychedelics among the Theatergoers?

I'm very interested in the entire psychedelics scene, both as a participant and a researcher. I'm very interested to talk to anyone here specifically who's used psychedelics of any kind to compare experiences, as the psychedelic experience has a way of sometimes bringing into focus the sexual psyche and I believe we could obtain a perspective from one another that would be otherwise very difficult to find talking to users of psychedelics at large.

I don't consider marijuana a psychadelic, but some do. That's probably the only thing that maybe half-qualifies, that I've done.

I'm not very eager to try hallucinogens. Between the PTSD and other trap doors in this mind, it's probably more than likely I'd have a bad trip and cause more bad than good.

As for weed, though, it tends to amplify the senses and make things like tickling even more fun.

I would definitely agree with your deicision to not pursue haphazard hallucinogenic use with active trapdoors like that. However, if you're interested in looking at those issues in more detail, I suggest looking into the research on psychedelics as treatment for issues such as PTSD (see this summary of a book on intense LSD psychotherapy undergone by an Auschwitz survivor), anxiety in the terminally ill, and that sort of thing. It doesn't sound like it's quite the thing for you necessarily (from the vague impression I'm able to gather), but, as a hopeful aspiring professional in psychedelic therapy, it's something I like to make people aware of.

In any case, I would agree with your account of marijuana. I don't know if it has any official designation as an aphrodisiac, but I've certainly noticed pronounced effects on sexuality as a whole, which couples nicely with sensory amplification.

I had my fun back decades ago. I actually have mostly positive memories of experimenting with psychedelics, but it's not really anything I'd line-up for again any time soon.

For me, tripping was all about settings, and trusting the people you're with on your adventure. I loved being outdoors when I'd trip. Day or night, country or city settings, outside always felt better than in.

and like I say, trusting the people (yourself included) you're with, whether they're also experimenting alongside you or not.

Rick Tibbler, as a first question, would you say you had any psychedelic experiences that related to your attraction to tickling? I personally had an experience with a girlfriend in which I asked to be tickled, expecting sensory fireworks, and found myself surprisingly disinterested. I think that might have been circumstantial and might have had to do with the way I'd expected the experience to be so sensational without actually investing myself in it.

Oddly, nothing along those lines while tripping. The closest I ever came was when I picked up some Ecstasy for a Mistress and I to enjoy during a session (we'd known each other a while by then). Given the touchy-feely nature of the XTC buzz, you might think we'd have worked our way into a legendary tickling session, but it was a run-of-the-mill experience. Nothing worth noting.

I've had brief experiences with ecstasy and shrooms and found their highs mostly just to alter my moods, and heightening my senses. It may have been due to the type of shrooms I was doing but either way it was an enjoyable experience mostly.

I dabbled with acid even less so and to be honest it must have been a bad strip or two cause I wasn't having hallucinations which was somewhat disappointing.
