In case you checked this thread but don't know what I'm talking about, a pretty crazy storm came through the chicagoland area today.
I was actually on my motorcycle when it first hit.....just barely made it into the garage a few minutes before the wind started, too. Boy, that would have been a ride.
Huge broken tree branches were flying all over the place....my family has a table in the backyard with an umbrella on it (that we forgot to take down....stupid I know), the thing blew up into the air then hit the ground and snapped in half (made of metal). Heh, it was pretty intense....the winds couldn't have lasted much more than 5-10 minutes, too (but the rain kept going for a while).
Talk about nature flexing its muscles. I caught a few minutes of the news with a woman (who I assume was blatantly exaggerating, but anyways) who said that she was watching out the window and saw what looked like a whole tree, and then most of her neighbors roof blow by.
So, I hear there's another one coming through late tonight. Not gonna lie, I'm excited 😉.
