I don't know how many composers there are on the forum, but I'm a music theory/composition student, and I've recently completed my first piece for chamber orchestra. It's going to be performed on March 16, and I'm extremely excited about it.
Has anybody else ever composed for an orchestra? How did it go? There's been one rehearsal so far, and I have some typo-fixing to do before the next one (this Sunday), but on the whole, it sounded absolutely fantastic!
