This is pretty obscure, but around this forum you never know what people are going to be into (other than tickling!)! I was (and am) a fanatic about this underground show of the early 80's (though I believe he is still on New Jersey cable and has gotten pretty heavy from what I understand) and I've got about 14 hours of shows but I'm always looking for more (the idiotic stations he worked for actually ERASED all of his shows so there won't be much forthcoming from them!).

If anyone even remembers this show, post here....it will encourage me!

LOL! Thanks alot for the info, Evil Queen! I'd love to get a copy of that album and would be more than happy to run you off copies of what I have.....I am so psyched to see someone else post a sentence like "God, I loved that show!" Maybe you and I should get married since we clearly have so much in common! (lol!!) Me and my friends had a fan club and we used to send pictures for the "Pictures on the Wall" segment and also we went to see him at the Northstage theatre in Glen Cove, LI (about 1981! I was pretty young!). Wow! What a mind trip!!! I can't believe you guys know who I'm talking about!

I actually have the tapes you mentioned, as well as a ton of other ones that I got from Mugsy (he's got a great website that tells the whole history of the show in great detail...you'd have to have alot of time to kill, but it's really funny, informative and also sad).....the problem was the best era of his show-late 70's to very early 80's (like 83) were before everyone really had vcrs so it's been VERY hard to track them down. It used to be on five days a week from 6-7...that's a hell of a lot of great comedy lost forever!!! Like I said I have 14 hours of the stuff, but I want as much as I can get! My email is [email protected] if anyone happens to have any on video tape.

Floyd actually performs almost 300 days a year! And he's playing NY's the Bottom Line in a couple of weeks, which I'm going to go to.

MORE OOGIE! Right on!!

:veryhappy :cool2: :blaugh:

Ahh, The Uncle Floyd Show! I watched it on WWAC, Atlantic City's first real TV Station, when I was a small fry. I still remember Captain Fork (much to the embarrassment of anyone I go to a diner with) and sketches like "A Day in the Life of a Food" (In which Floyd would prepare and eat a sandwich with off-screen voices and sound effects). I still don't get what Bones Boy was all about, but I was about 10 at the time. Uncle Floyd and his demented pals were profound influences on my then-developing psyche. Does it show?

Uncle Floyd was a staple of early NJ cable.
I remember back in the 70's he was supposed to appear at the local movie theater in my town. He was going to sign autographs, meet & greet type stuff. Anyhow, there was a false alarm in the theater. People momentarily thought the theater had caught on fire, but it actually hadn't. To no avail though, because as soon as Floyd Vivino thought the place was burning he was "out of there like Vladimir".
And so I was denied the opportunity to meet Uncle Floyd. I think Looney Skip Rooney stuck around.
