Are some brushes better than others?

As part of a larger personal project, I'm trying to find out what kind of brush works best in most cases for tickling. I could go out and try a bunch myself but with no one to try them on or to try on me, it'd probably be more fruitful to just ask for other people's experiences with them.

Is it better for the bristles to be hard or soft? Does the density of bristles make a difference, and do those ones with the plastic tips work any better or worse than the normal ones?

Concerning toothbrushes (particularly electric), do some brands do a better job than others? Or are certain brush heads better to use?

I've found that shaving brushes are the best.
Not too hard not too soft.
You know...Shaving brushes to apply soap to your face..

You know I've been trying out a few things as well because I don't know much about this however I can tell you that I've discoverd a small nail brush (much like a toothbrush but wider to clean out your nails) on the feet seems to drive my partner WILD. I also have a nice make up brush (blush brush wide) that they seem to enjoy lightly sweeping their body. As for the electric toothbrush.. I bought one I'm a little nervous to introduce but I'm sure it will work magic ^^

Thanks for the responses. I'm a little surprised to see that it seems brushes with generally softer bristles are preferred. Do they work best for producing really ticklish sensations or are they just the most pleasant? Can brushes that are too hard cause discomfort or pain?

Paint brushes r always fun to use, and there's a wide variety to choose from to see which is most effective on ur lee

I really like Japanese calligraphy brushes: available in a range of sizes. They are neither too firm nor too soft. Try an oriental art supply store. Also, when used in bondage games on male nipples, they give the most intense sensation without pain.

The brushes with the plastic bristles appear to be the most effective.

Well..to be perfectly honest,(and I know I'm sticking my neck out here)
I'm getting real tired of the hairbrush on the soles in video's..
You know...20 minutes of kicking and screaming.
Each to his own, but I prefer the sensuous, non torturing,
hysterical laughing tickling...
Just my preference thats all..

I assure you this thread has nothing whatsoever to do with tickling videos. I'm looking for candidates as tickling devices for a real-life tickling machine (yeah you probably think I'm even more nuts now). Maximum effect is the goal at the moment since a tickling machine that can't tickle is well... just a machine I guess. I'm interested particularly in brushes since from what I've seen they appear to be very effective in getting the desired reaction while requiring little finesse to wield.

Perhaps you'd appreciate a machine that isn't capable of true tickle-torture but we aim to please as many as possible.

I have a range of brushes for painting and to my touch the medium hardness ones would work the best. I got hold of a couple of blusher brushes after watching a couple of videos but they seem to soft to me.

Again I think this is down to personal preference. Each person will have to find what works best for them - brushes, feathers, quill tips, nails etc. The only thing we can do is to make any device able to hold as many different objects as possible.

i think it all depends on the reactions you wish to achieve..the softer type brushes can cause an irritating itch that can drive you wild in time..especially if applied lightly and quickly...now the harder bristles, run over a tickle spot fast and well a wee bit hard..can also provide quite a reaction..an electric tooth brush works wonders as well i found out last year..

You should have it so u could just easily switch brushes or tickling tools on and off the machine, test and see which tools work the best in each area of ur lee, then setup ur machine to tickle ur lee with those tools u found were most effective in each area.

I agree, the ability to switch brushes will ensure it's more effective for everyone and is more in the spirit of the machine. It just means we'll need clamps that can hold a variety of brushes of every shape and size.

Which brush is best?

Being an individual, who loves to be tickled by brushes, more than any other tool, I find artist's brushes the best.

From experience, I've found that, although, they do tickle, softer bristled artist's brushes provide a more sensual tickle.

To achieve a more favourable reaction, I've found that the application of stiffer tipped brushes, particularly upon my soles, tends to make me react alot more.

I've found both types of brush are available from local stationary stores.

However, for a totally torturous experience, use a hair brush upon baby oiled soles.

For me, toes held back and a nailbrush on the balls of the feet!
Then a paintbrush for ears and nostrils 😱
