For me, it depends on my mood. If I'm in a more rowdy mood, I can be ruthless. If I'm in a more romantic mood, I'm generally more gentle.

Same here. If it's more of a romantic setting, I can be ruthless, but quite merciful. I tend to lean toward the softer tickles.

But if you want to play...better wear a helmet and make sure your health insurance is paid up...

Seriously, tho'... I don't know that "mercy" really even enters into the picture much when I play. I only enjoy consensual tickling, so there are generally safewords involved and whatnot. However, no one's ever had to actually say they're safeword when with me, so I guess that sorta means I'm merciful by default. That, or just *really* good at pushing limits.

I guess what it boils down to is... when I top, I try to give my bottom whatever it is that they want - if they want near-torture, I can give it to 'em... If they want sexy, sensual, onthebrinkoforgasmforaslongastheycantakeit, well... I can deliver that, too. 😉

I am mostly merciful. Even though I enjoy watching my "victim" twitch and scream and laugh, I also want her to have fun with it. Most casual tickling does not involve merciless tickling, anyway. Now, if the lady enjoys the "pain" of long prolonged tickling, then I have no problem with that. 😀

Now... if we wanna talk merciless... my adoring husband-to-be recently combined spanking, flogging, caning, wax and TICKLING all into one scene. I dunno about the rest of you out there, but I have a really hard time combining my love of tickling with my other kinks. My brain gets confused! Especially with tickling and wax... at one point, he was running his fingers lightly down my side, while pouring wax on my back with his other hand. The wax wasn't terribly hot - it was just paraffin - but the two completely different sensations at the same time made my brain hurt!
