Ariel Castro, the man convicted earlier this year of kidnapping three woman, holding them in his Cleveland home for nearly a decade, and repeatedly sexually assaulting them, committed suicide in his Ohio jail cell Tuesday night, according to an Ohio corrections official.

The prison should investigate how he got the means to hang himself.
 
If there is a place called Hell, hopefully Mr Castro will be in it for eternity. He was the lowest form of scum. The only reason I'm sorry he's dead, is that now can't suffer a life, the way he made his victims suffer for so many years. He took the coward's way out.
 
Interesting:

I was reading a quote by someone today. I believe it was one of the victims' attorneys, but don't quote me on that, and the person said the same thing I did, about Castro taking the coward's way out, instead of living to serve his sentence.

I'm sure there are people with feelings both ways. Some who are glad he's dead, and some who feel he took the coward's way out. I'm sure there are also those with mixed emotions, who are glad he's dead, yet still feel he took the coward's way out. I think I have a little of both types of feelings about his death.

I personally care what happened as long as taxpayer money is no longer needed to house and feed his despicable ass for the rest of his miserable life!

Actually, Dante's Inferno is a poem - and it's a perfect allegory for this horrific tale that seems taken from a bad episode of Criminal Minds.

I'm with the rest - glad he's dead and not a burden to society. Also glad he won't get a chance for parole (who knows what our warped legal system would have done in the future). Also glad his victims won't have to worry about his suing for visitation rights (and who knows if he would have tried for custody!) of the children he sired while raping them and holding them captive. So his suffering ends early. But it ends some possible future suffering for the victims and the innocent in my mind - so perhaps it's a fair trade.
 
The important thing is the fucking bastard didn't suffer long enough.

Hung or hanged, both are correct, and I don't care what the Inferno is as long as that chickenshit is in it. Yeah he got the easy way out and I hope he was really unwilling to go but got "help" from someone who made him suffer as much as possible. That still won't come close to what he deserves. But it might help his victims knowing he's really out of the picture.
