For those of you who like T-shirt and who do designs:
The Kankatee reason for living is simple: Provide designers a venue to create at will and offer it up to the people to vote on. On top of that, the goal is to support these designers -- these brave Uploaders -- and to empower the public to do the same.
Kankatee hit the web in August 2006 during the Big Bang of mass creative participation in the web. By this time, online listening, viewing and downloading were the passé mainstream. Even your Grandma could use iTunes, and she did, because she loves Michael Buble. Kankatee was born during the prime time for uploading; sharing your persona; posting the song you wrote; streaming that video where you do that genius (stupid?) dance with the sparklers. This site was launched so some damn good designers could make a Bang as loud as any other out there, if not louder -- which is still the grand design. So...
IF YOU WANT TO DESIGN, we want your ideas. Create and login to your member account and activate your design account. Be sure to read the submission specifications. After that? Blow our minds, if you please.
IF YOU WANT TO VOTE, we want your opinion. All you need to do is login or create a Kankatee account and vote on any number of shirts each month (limit of one vote per shirt). Your vote counts, and there's no electoral college. Promise.
IF YOU WANNA SHOP? Well, we want your money. Yes, because we're capitalists, but more importantly because our amazing designers get commission on their expression. No account or membership is required. Just shop away. Thank you for your support for the Kankatee design community, for good design in general, and for all Uploaders. Here is my contest entry.
