Art Thief?

No, it's Tucanoo's work, but as far as I can tell, he is not posting it as his ow art (based on the comments) but rather to show it. I appreciate it actually, since Tucanoo's website is down at the moment I believe.

Reel it in folks. Welcome to the world of the internet. People post this stuff ALL the time, with vitually no clue who did the original work. Most often because the artist does not sign the work, but mostly because it's been posted by numerous other people who don't give credit. The only time folks/artists should get their panties in a bunch is when someone is actually taking credit as the artist for work that is not theirs. Most of the time, at least on deviant, you get newbies that simply post art in the galleries and not the favs section because they don't know any better, and not because they are trying to take credit. It's a small matter. Trust me, as a producer who has to deal with people pirating our videos, having someone post one of our sample or preview clips without crediting us is no big deal in comparison to posting the full clip. Just keep it all in perspective.

I don't know whether this particular person is an art thief or not, but I do know there are many people on deviantART who look out for art thieves and report them to the admins who do take action, so if he is one he's going to get his account deleted.

Yeah, piracy is definitely a serious problem. And those that help fight it deserve a serious "thank you".

But I gotta agree with LGZ...the guy on dA probably doesn't know any better. Let's just let him know that dA is for his OWN art, not anyone elses. And he'll probably delete the Tukano work.

I'll send him a note on dA.

Heh...I wonder if he'll even read the note or be stubborn... The outcome totally intrigues me from some odd reason... 😀

Well, to blah on this a bit...

Consider anything posted in the web is for disposal. We know that it's out there for any consequence...

People are watching and vigilant anyway. It will make a big difference if it's a $500M dollar stolen painting...

-o0o-

Things like this could either the working of a n00b or a person with enough "time."

-o0o-

Thanks for those who care for the humble artists...
