The different types of people on here and the fact that from what I`ve seen..... there is very little judgement on here.... and thats rare....

Haha... as far as the forums go.... yeah.... I honestly hadn`t read any of these aside from the personals and gatherings forums..... and that was YEARS ago... I am very new to the posting side of things...

What really made you want to delurk when you did?

I guess I looked around the personals and gatherings threads when I first came on and it didnt seem like there was anything going on in the GTA... so I kinda forgot about it..... Mostly used this as a way to get previews and reviews of videos and the such.....

One day I was bored and randomly started looking around, saw the FROST stuff... and decided to message SnailShell to ask about em.... he was a totally cool guy... so I figured I might wanna meet some more people on here...

I am trying to make a Toronto Munch next month(work schedule permitting).... As far as a gathering.... Yeah once I attend a few munches I`m sure a gathering won`t be far off....

What is one aspect of your personality that you feel you're judged too much/heavily about?

This question is chalked full of WIN... well played...

I have always been a... let`s say vociferous..... person. I have never ben afraid to speak my mind and have always felt that as such a person I should be the one to stick up for people I felt were being treated unjustly. This has caused MUCH trouble in my life.....

In high school I was active in theatre... there were a couple of openly gay guys in my group of friends, and they took a lot of crap(jock heavy school).... well I participated a LOT in our local gay rights activism, and the Toronto pride parade.... and was harassed quite a bit by the jocks(I played a lot of sports as well, and they all complained about changing with a queer... even though I was very obviously straight).... the bigger crap I took was from everyone who claimed I just wanted to argue and thats why I `took the side of the gays`.... People believed that I just fought because I liked the battle.... honestly I just wanted to party every weekend like everyone else.... but I`m not gonna put up with that garbage.... Hate is ridiculous...

It has caused me trouble at workplaces as well.... at my previous job I got into a few run-ins with management about some labour laws they were breaking.... I stuck up for a couple staff members who were being illegally charged for mistakes and the such... and my bosses were none too happy about that... I was sat down on numerous occasions and explained that it wasn`t my fight...

At the end of the day I just feel that as a very self-confident person who isn`t afraid to speak his mind, it`s my responsibility to speak up for those who can`t...... I`ve toned it down as I`ve aged but I still get shit on every once-in-a-while for speaking up too much.....

Okay, so it it's in Ohio. There may be a Canadian Caravan going, unsure. It's about the second weekend of November. And it would be a WONDERFUL gathering to attend!!

OMIGOSH.


Are you close to your family?

VERY.... my father passed away 9 years ago, and he and I weren't close until the last year of his life(he and my mom split when I was 8, and he wasn't around much... but the last year we played a ton of tennis and hockey together) so I am very glad to have had that.... one of my tattoos is in memory of him....

my sister and I have been uber-close(she is gay and I was the first person she came out to), and then had a few years where we weren't(she was dating someone I felt was bad for her, and whilst they dated we had troubles), the last year we have been super-close and that makes me very happy...

My mother is my hero... I gew up very poor(my dad didn't pay child support) and she worked her way through school, whilst working full-time and raising two kids(still making time to work on school stuff with us and take us to hockey).... now she is very succesful in her company, makes good coin, and just bought a cottage.... she is an inspiration...

My step-dad and I are close in the MAN sense... meaning that we don't hug or talk about our feelings but we both know that the other cares about us.... he took on my mom with her huge debt and two crazy kids(I was a handful) and that shows what great character he has....

So yeah.... I am pretty close with my fam...

What is one thing (or somethings) that is making you nervous about going to a munch/gathering?

I'm actually not nervous about going to a munch at all.... I look forward to it... I love meeting people.... and am very excited to meet some people who share my kink...

As far as the gathering side of things.... the only thing that makes me uncomfortable is the fact that tickling has always been a sexual thing for me.... Any of the partners I've every played with have all been girls I have been romantically or sexually involved with....

I just am uncomfortable with the idea of offending someone or making someone uncomfortable if we were playing platonically and I became aroused.... I'm sure it happens all the time.... just not sometihing I have ever had to deal with.....

I assume the better I get to know people in the community the better I'll understand how these things tend to work out for people.... but for someone who hasn't been involved with it yet, it would be my only apprehension...

No I am not.... I literally think I might be melting... I had to run out on a sales call and had left a cold coffee in my car for 2 hours.... when I got back in, it was honestly warm...

I have a few: Sushi Garden is probably the one I choose most often these days, but I also LOVE Schwartz's in Montreal... and if I'm in the mood for fast food, I will usually pick Taco Bell or Arby's

What's a good movie you've watched recently?

I recently saw "Horrible Bosses" and thought it was hilarious.... I was worried after Bad Teacher let me down so much.... but Bosses was everything I thought it would be and more.....

Yeah, it's really casual though. -- Most situations like that tend to be 'ignored'.. prolly 'looked over' is a better word to use.

I mean, it's all about building connections and trust w/the person you want to play with too.. & that'll all happen in time, I'm sure.

What was the greatest lesson you ever had to learn the hard way?

That the best way to deal with something is to own up to it, be honest with yourself and everyone else and sort it out.. no matter how much it sucks...

When I was in my early 20's I royally screwed up my credit..... kept making minimum payments and overspending on trips, concerts, toys, video games etc..... Wasn't until my credit card company called my folks house that it all caught up with me... I was $27,000 in debt and royally screwed.... If I'd spoken up, I may have saved my credit rating.. but I was embarassed... and my pride almost ruined me... Luckily my folks helped me out and I was able to pay off my debt within 2 years..... didn't have much fun over that time though.... but it was my own fault....

Thats cool, I figured people would be chill about it.... just something I haven't experienced yet, so it left me mildly unnerved.... as a guy who isn't often uncomfortable I doubt it would affect me greatly....

I read a TON!! I literally read everything..... I was HUGE into fantasy when I was younger... Tolkien, and Terry Brooks were my favourites....

I have also always been a BIG comic fan... I'm not that knowledgeable about them, or a serious collector but I love reading em... I especially love Batman/Dark Knight.... easy choice I know... but he's sooooo awesome.... how could I not...

haha... this is always a fun question.... See I ran record stores for the better part of a decade so I have had an opportunity to sample abd check out more music than the average listener. I had a year where I went to 200 shows in 300 days...

I literally listen to all genre's of music.. I can find something in all genre's to appreciate....

My favourite band since 1993 has been Tool.... I was a huge matelhead when I was young and Tool just blew everything out of the water..... they only release an album every 6-7 years but when they do it's always magic!!

I listen to very little metal other than that... I like a LOT of singer-songwriter stuff... REALLY into Jeff Buckley, Ryan(don't call me Bryan) Adams, Richard Buckner(No one else has every heard of him either), Elliot Smith

Love country music... but NOT Wal-Mart country... I like Alison Krauss(probably my favourite living vocalist), Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Be Good Tanyas, The Wailin Jennies, Kathleen Edwards

Have always had a huge spot in my life for British pop/rock acts.... LOVE LOVE LOVE Oasis!! Huge Beatles fan... Stereophonics, Travis, The Kooks, The Artic Monkeys....


Am also a MASSIVE Michael Jackson fan.... I actually had tickets to see him in England when he died... I was heartbroken....

Also a big Peter Gabriel Fan.....
