Yes there are a few of us but in general we are very sedate........hard to get them out of the shell My facebook profile under paul lechance is devoted entirely to tickling and I also have a facebook group "Ticklish in Nova Scotia" It has been there for sometime but only has about 50 members.........just so hard to meet people

It seems like anything east of Ontario is rather devoid of tickling, Montreal included, surprisingly. I tried to organize a meet in Montreal, but so far it seems that I am the only one interested. =/
In observation of this section after years of moderating it, I've found, in EVERY section, that few respond immediately, with rare exception.
Long Island has dozens on and around it, and they've STILL not had an event, and they HAD responses.
Too, Toronto has had events for a while, and I met several from that crew, two NESTs ago. Saw 'em at the last NEST.
People are shy, folks, and tend to be inclined towards positive and constructive events. Perhaps trying to organize a munch, to meet the "few" people you have, would be a REALLY good idea. Once you know one another, you have the chance to encourage others based on past meets.
Too, you could try participating in discussions, and socialize. Folks seeing you participate would appreciate you more.
Lastly, if you want to draw out locals, try applying some graphic (like the national flag) to your sig. A tiny maple leaf says much, don't ya know.
There's two video companies on Canada's eastern side. Already one gathering in Toronto. You could do this. Just MEET. Grow it from there.

I live in Halifax, though I'd never join a facebook group and have other know about it. 😛
There's very few women from around here that make themselves known. I've talked to a couple girls through here (met one), and I've talked to a couple girls through other websites that are into it.
I believe there are quite a few people in general around here, just not many make themselves known through these sites.

My problem, as I'm sure it the same with many others, is that I live in a rather small community where everyone knows everyone else in the area. One needs to keep a low profile so as to not stick out to the neighbors.
I've tried to just exchange mails and chat with folks, particularly female lees, but I'l write and chat with anyone regarding tickling and still have problems getting anyone to do ewither. I chat with a guy from Italy every so often and one lady from within mainland Nova Scotia. I have been contacted by 3 other guys that I ended up blocking. The chats started out OK, they were open from the start and admitted they were gay and enjoyed talking tickling with a ticklish straight guy, and I enjoyd the chats too, but it all ended up the same at the end. All the chats consisted of at the end was them continualy trying to coax me into having a meeting and letting them tickle me and nothing else. It gets old saying 'no' continuously after a while. It had nothing to do with them being gay either, toward the end, I just didn't have that feeling that I would be comfy meeting them.
As far as women are concerned, I really would have thought that at least a couple would be interested in just e-mailing or chats. But no luck. Maybe someday, who knows?

A suggestion: I would imagine that everyone visits the big city, which in this case is Halifax. I suggest doing so. Pick a spot with lots of traffic, and meet. If you care to play, do so earlier, preferably mid-day, when no one CARES about the noise, and a 'lee can be handed the phone to say, "we had a tickle fight. I'm fine."
Even if you DON'T play, you'll get to meet, and find that this forum ISN'T a big computer simulation. It's real people, you're one of 'em, and there's others similar to you, with similar tastes, in all walks of life in your province.
Seriously, it's not like ya gotta drink Screetch to get bold enough. You're in Canada. We who survive winter in Canada are a bold folk. If I can gather, you can gather.
