As you may or may not already know, TK-411 will soon be opening a TK Artists Directory. This directory will attempt to aid folks in finding you and your work more easily...and hopefully, help to bring artists the recognition they deserve! We'll have a main page listing all artists we can find and a profile page for each individual artist. (I'm just getting started in compiling the main listing. So, if you check out the main page, don't worry if you don't see yourself listed yet. I'll get you in there!)

In order to let folks know a bit about you and your artwork, we'd love for you to complete the following survey. Simply copy & paste it into a blank e-mail...or complete it here in this thread if you prefer. We'd also love to have you send along a single image that you feel best represents your work. Images will be placed with your handle at the head of your page with the profile survey beneath it.

LittleBigHead... Thanks for the heads up. I'm actually listing people under all names that they've used to post stuff. This way, if someone knows you by one name and not the other, they'll still be able to find you. Where this happens (and I know about it), the profile will indicate that it's the same person. Here's one example of what I mean...

This is also why I'm asking for SNs in the profile. After all, if someone only knows you by one name and you didn't post a piece under that name, they'd be missing out! 😉

Ilohnoh... Thanks! I'm already having fun with it and I'm just getting started. It's something I've been planning for some time. I thought I'd want to finish the other sections of the site first. But, there's so much to finish on them that it's takeing too long. I didn't want to wait any longer. You guys really deserve the attention! So, I'll be working on yet one more section all at the same time. It's a good thing I have so much time to work with! lol 🙂

I've been listing every name under which art was posted so that, if someone comes along and only knows one of the names used, they can find the remaining work by the same artist. I'll PM her to verify her wishes before removing the name and honor the request if she confirms it. Thanks for the heads up.

(BTW Just so you know... My checking with her isn't a lack of trust for you. It's simply the way I do things. I prefer to hear from the artists themselvs if they wish something altered so that others can't create problems for them. Unless I know someone personally, I don't make exceptions to this rule.)

You're very welcome! Please spread the word so others are sure to see and take advantage of this as well. I hope to finish gathering all the artist names I can findby Monday. Then, I'll be doing a little prep work before going back through to start plugging in thread links for where folks can find stuff on the forums in addition to whatever other links we have listed. This should make it easier than folks having to search for things once they go to a particular forum. As with the other directories on the site, it will take time to complete. But, it will be well worth all the work just to have things more readily available to people. 🙂

(Since I just got a 1 TB external harddrive for Christmas, I'll also be saving everything I find in the process. This way, if anything is ever lost, I'll have it archived to replace elsewhere.)

Just made the Artists Directories opening official last night. I'll be continuing work on things today and throughout the weekend. If you haven't already sent your profile info. and would like to do so, go for it. I'll get the page together and put it up as soon as I get it. 😉

I now have all the artist names I could find. I'm sure there'll be some others turning up as I explore further. I'm currently about halfway through the process of setting up the base pages for each persons profile so that, as I sift through threads, I can simply plug in links to any threads in which the artist has shared their work...and any other links I find along the way.

Anyone els who'd like to have your profile filled in, just shoot me a note or respond here and I'll get your page seet up. If I've somehow missed you, my apologies. With over 12,000 threads to sift through, it's likely that I missed a name or two on the first sifting. Just let me know and I'll add you right in.
