Ross's regular attorney recommended a friend of Ross's regular attorney, to deal with the situation regarding Tim Tazzio's assets.
Tazzio still had an "Asshole personality" but, based on information Ross got from other sources, Tazzio was also a beaten man.
Ross met with this attorney, and explained what he wanted done.
"I'm not a bankruptcy attorney, but from being in business as long as I have, I know that at Bankruptcy auctions, anyone in Bankruptcy can have their assets purchased for pennies on the dollar. I used to own RossShell marketing, and when I sold it, Tim Tazzio, the owner of this organization that is involved in this bankruptcy auction, bought my former company under false pretenses, and hired a front man who told me a pack of lies to persuade me to sell to the guy who was the front man, and who was the source I really thought I was selling to. Now, at this auction, I would appreciate if you could please get me a list of all the assets for sale, and show it to me. When I get that, I'm going to look it over, and , anything that I think or know used to belong to my former company, I'm going to instruct you to please place a bid on for as low a price as you can get them. Even if you cannot get everything I want, I at least want to get some things. Even if I get a percentage of the assets I want, , I will consider it a success because of who I'm buying them from, as opposed to the assets themsleves, although unless Tazzio really fucked things up, I know that there are still some good assets there, based upon what my company had when I sold it to Tazzio. "Ross said.
"That's fine, Ross, I will keep you posted" The attorney said.
When Ross got home, he had a message from Fritz on his home office voicemail, "Ross, Steve and I need you here for no more than 48 hours, in about two days. Maybe 100 investors want into the oil and gas, and someone might have something else too" Fritz said.
Ross called Fritz "Okay, will be there late tomorrow night. I'm trying to investigate a new deal, but it does not matter, that will take time, and for 100 ivestors, you know damn well sure I will be there" Ross said.
Kayley had entered the apartment after doing some food shopping, and they kissed. "Mister P called. OKC for 36 to 48 hours. I will try like hell not to sleep over the second night. Everything else workwise is done here, so there's nothing really else to do" Ross said.
"Okay, have fun" Kayley said with a smile.
The next day. late in the afternoon, Ross left for OKC. He had dinner with Steve and Fritz, slept over, and when he woke up the next day, his attorney on the bankruptcy situation with RossShell called him again.
"I did it. I got about 50 percent of what used to be RossShell assets, for six million dollars. Based on what you sold RossShell to Tazzio for, that is just about ten percent or ten cents on the dollar of what he paid you" Ross's attorney said.
"Bullseye"
Ross said with a huge smirk on his face.
"The only catch is, you have to be here within 24 hours to put in payment for the assets, and take possession" The attorney said.
"I will get out of here as early as possible today. " Ross said,
When Ross got to Steve and Fritz's office that morning, he said to them.
"Unusual situation, guys, I have to go back to New York as early as possible today. I must sign a deal up there and put payment down, as the guy involved has a deadline, and if I do not do it, the deal may not happen. I apologize. This will never happen again. I hope you both understand" Ross said.
"We understand, buddy. If you must leave, you must leave. We will finish with these guys, sign as many of them as possible, and then send the contracts to New York for your signature" Fritz said.
Ross called Kayley.
"I'm coming home by no later than tonight. Tim needs me to sign something. Fritz and Steve understand" Ross said.
:"Okay, see you when you get home" Kayley said.
"Remember to get rid of your Latin lover by then"Ross joked.
"Ha ha" Kayley said.
Ross took a late afternoon flight home from OKC, and landed at JFK at 1130 pm, arriving home about 1230. Kayley was half asleep, but heard him.
"I'm home. Want to get undressed. Have to go see the attorney about something VIP tomorrow" Ross said.
Ross got undressed, and kissed Kayley.
"Night , Baby" Kayley said sleepily.
Ross got up at 7 am, ran into the office at 730, and his Uber got there at 815.
The first person Ross called of course, was the attorney on the RossShell assets.
"Get over here, sign the deal, and FedEx me the check today same day delivery" The attorney said.
Ross went over to the office, and signed the deal.
"When you pay me, its all yours, fifty percent of RossShell's assets, and you can even keep the name as a subsidiary of RossCo, similar to what you did with RK Mimi Marketing. The attorney said.
"This is so sweet" Ross said, with a huge grin.
Ross sent the attorney the check, and left the office at 430, unusually early after checking in with Fritz, and finding out that sixty percent of the investors who they showed the fields to, were supposedly signing up.
Ross took an Uber home, and walked in the apartment at 515,'
"My gosh, not even working 9 to 5 anymore, your boss might have to fire you" Kayley joked.
Ross discarded his tie.
"Ksyley, I did it. I got it all back, well, half of it anyway. RossShell and half of RossShell's former assets are ours. I finally stuck it to Tim Tazzio" Ross said.
Kayley was speechless. Kayley could say nothing. Kayley knew that she should be happy for Ross after the way she had "persuaded" Ross to sell RossShell.
Yet, Kayley also felt truly betrayed by Ross.
What would Kayley's reaction be when she sorted out her thoughts?
Would it be happiness for her husband for getting his company back, or.. betrayal for herself ?
