BAC Question

Hi all,

I've seen the Tales of Tickle Torture series go up to #7 I think. I'm just curious why the artwork of arguably the finest tickle artist ever is so unavailable? We've all seen a page or two, or only part of a story, and they always seem to be the same ones, but certainly not seven different ones. Am I the only one to find it hard to believe that, given the excellence of his art, someone out there doesn't have every single series in their entirety? If I'm right, I wonder why they all haven't found their way to this excellent board yet? Does anyone have an explanation? Thanks,

I have a theory... so, let me just explain it for the sake of practicing my typing skill. 😀 😀 😀

Est modus in rebus - the way is in the matter, or to rephrase that, the answer lies in the question.

As you said, BAC is a famous pro tickle-artist. He used to sell his art to magazines or by snail-mail, so people had to pay hard cash to get it.

He is not an anonymous corporation that produces music or games "wholesale".
Tickling artists are more close to artisans who create one-shot pieces, and finding copies of their work around is less likely, since they are fewer in number.

Also, paying fans are less likely to share something free: first of all, they had to fork money out for it in the first place.

Secondly, they probably fear that sharing one-shot art would be a dent in the artist's business, and he would close down or stop making art at all.

Of course this is just a guess; hope it is educated enough. 🙂

to further ddbaby's question, why does someone of his incredible talent, let alone his reputation, not have a website?
in this day and age and for the hunger for his work, it would seem to everyones advantage for him to have a website of his own.

There are a great many BAC pics throughout this forum. The main problem is that you can't do a forum search on a three-letter word, e.g., BAC. 🙁 So you have to check every potential post, i.e., not just the ones with "BAC" in the title but also those vague titles like "Lookit what I posted!" 🙄 Good luck.

i also read somewhere that bac passed away a few years ago so thats why there might not be aby new stuff around
