Ross, who seemed to have ongoing laryngitis, called his boutique Doctor to make a house call.
The Doctor told Ross that the infectious part of Ross's cold was gone, and that the hoarse voice was just lingering.
Ross was told to drink tea, and limit his talking.
Ross , now knowing that he was not contagious, compromised with Kayley to put in half days at the office. He would go in by 9 or 10, and come home by 2 or 3.
The couple would continue to stay away from each other, for safety sake.
In the meantime, Ross conducted business with Fritz and Steve via Zoom, since Ross certainly could not leave New York due to his condition.
The men did a three day Zoom show in which they signed 75 people.
Ross was frustrated.
He was "trapped in New York" , could not go to OKC, and could not have fun with Kayley physically, due to his condition, for what was going on three weeks at that point.,
The couple would go out to dinner, or have call in food at home, and Kayley would give Ross a "kiss goodnight" on the cheek.
Ross could not stand it. Ross had his wonderful, hot wife of 30 years, striding around the apartment barefoot in short nighties, as he wanted to devour her, but, for safety's sake for both of their health, could not go near her.
As Ross sat in the office, just approving work, he slowly but steadily was making progress on the idea and products for his new company idea.
Eventually, Ross would logically discuss it with an attorney who Alan Hell recommended first, and then Ross knew that he would have to get a trademark, for whatever the product turned on to be.
RossShell was being run in an excellent manner by Jack and Vic.
Ross was antsy, but he was also scared, and Ross knew he had to be very, very careful.
Usually, when Ross got antsy and or bored, is when he made one of his unwise, stupid, and sometimes costly mistakes in business, and with Kayley.
Ross thought to himself.
"I'm sick, I'm not fooling around with Kayley for the sake of both Kayley's and my health"
Ross also thought.
"RossShell has my name on it. Yet, I ran the company recklessly for years. I hurt myself, Kayley, my clients, and a lot of other people. I finally settled in with a man, Jack, who is competent, who I fully trust, and who has proven that he has the experience to run RossShell in a more than competent manner"
In a crazy analogy, Ross felt like :"A student who was sentenced to detention, due to being reckless, and out of control, for his own good"
Ross knew that eventually, things would get back to normal.
Ross's cold would go away, and then, after a period of time,. Ross could go away, and get right down in the trenches with Fritz and Steve, doing energy deals.
Patience had never been a virtue of Ross's, either in his personal, or business, life.
This time, Ross had no choice but to be patient, for the sake of himself,. Kayley, RossShell, and everyone else in Ross's life.
When would Ross's illness go away? What would Ross do when it did go away?
Would Ross be able to remain in control, and just go off to OKC?"
Or , would his long period of inactivity cause him to do something reckless, stupid, or make an uninformed decision that would cost Ross or others in Ross's life?
That would all be seen.
