I think drugs are not good but just curious, has anyone ever had any bad experiences coming off any kind of drug? I find it helpful and soothing to buy pornographic video's. My gf is lovely and will not get mad, I will eventually stop for good though.

Depending on which drug you are coming off of you may want to go to rehab for that. Some can have very terrible side effects especially when you go into withdrawals.

I cannot say I have had any bad experiences, but marijuana is the only drug I really indulge in. The worst I have ever endured is the occasional headache, but those are mild. Though I have noticed at times that I am easier to irritate when stoned, and yet I shrug it off all the sooner. I think I simply speak my mind without thinking, and that is therapeutic. But enough of my ramblings. I have had no truly bad experiences with drugs.

Anaesthesia.
The first time I was 'put under', when I woke up, I was completely fine: knew I had an operation, the operation was done, blah blah blah. But the second time...!! :scared
I thought I was reliving a flashback from when I had amnesia, and they were about to do surgery on me when I was still AWAKE!! Needless to say, I was crying, babbling, moderately freaking out, and - I didn't know this could create this - freezing! I was shivering uncontrollably as I repeatedly called for my mom, to try to make 'sense' of the situation I was in, and, the shivers, were from adrenaline. I never knew you could get cold (- shivering -) from adrenaline. Hmm. :huh

Well, anyways, that's my bad experience withdrawing from drugs, though usually, I have to take strong drugs just to STOP my frequent headaches. :umm:
Don't know if this counts, but that's my experience. Every time you're anesthetized, you have a different reaction I was told. So... yeah. :stickout

I have one. But this is from a prescription drug. I have A.D.D. and have had to take Ritalin (when I was little) Adderal, and Concerta. Except the ritalin the other two have one major side-effect: moodiness. Coming down off those medications made me very tired and VERY irritable. And they both eliminated my appetite so I couldn't eat very much while they were in effect.
That's my bad experience with drugs! Not on my meds right now but I think I'm doing jus- OOH LOOK A BUTTERFLY!!!

I once neglected to refill an anxiety medication that I used to be on and felt rather uneasy after missing a few doses. Fortunately, that did not last long as I managed to get my butt to the pharmacy and correct this issue.

I've had bad experiences while on certain medications. Vicodin, which makes most people mellow, makes me feel like shit.

IN the words of Lois Griffin, "Meth, is one Hell of a drug."

Hmm. Can't really give you a clear answer on that. However, sadistictcklr brings up something worth adding upon. When I was younger I had to have a couple of surgeries and boy... Wow. The morphine they give you before rolling you into the ER is niiiice. But for some people, the anesthesia can have really scary side effects when coming down from it. I remember my first surgery, when I was in recovery and first woke up I remember violently thrashing around for a brief period of time before I "konked out." A nurse came by to try and calm me down, but I wasn't exactly "awake." I ended up beating the living crap out of her while lying in my bed (according to my mother). The next thing I can actually remember was the blood. Lots of it. I busted my stitches wide open. According to my mother, three orderlies came over, held me down, gave me a dose of morphine and had to put the stitches back in. Sooo, if anyone is looking at having surgery for the first time, it may be wise to talk with your doctor about the anesthetics they'll be using.

Booze. I used to drink as soon as I woke up til the time I went to bed. I would have 6-7 shot before I got dressed. When I quit my hand shook so bad I could not sign my own name. I also passed out a few times due to the "cold turkey" method. My body did not take it well.

Ouch. Yeeeah, I used to drink too much myself. When I started to develop "the shakes" I quit. Plus waking up each morning feeling like crap started to grow pretty old.

Does indeed, Big_Blue. I gre tired of drinking, too.

My worst come down was from cigarettes. The combination habit and addiction is a bitch to quit. So worthwhile, though. Best thing I've done in the past 10+ years. Hell for afew weeks, though. I was ornery as all git. 😛issed
