The bad news today, April 7, is that we are under a winter storm warning here in NY City, and at least six inches of snow are expected to fall. On April 7!🙁 🙁
The good news is that classes are canceled, so I get the day off. 🙂

Well Milagros, y'know the forecast might be wrong and it you might not get all that much.

After all, many's the woman who expected at least 6-inches but only got 5!

don't sweat the comming snow.

it's the same storm we had here in the chicago area last night.
they warned of 5 to 7 inches. we got maybe 3, and it's starting to melt due to the temp. being above freezing.

oh steve, they are predicting between 6-12 inches here in lovely CT, I hope its like Chicago and we get fewer then expected. I like snow but this is ridiculous!!!

We're getting the same storm. We have less than a half an inch and it's been snowing all day. Just enough snow to cancel the Indians game.

Would this be a bad time for me to mention that it's 75 degrees and sunny in California?

That's why I live here... I %&#^%*(% hate snow. Driving up the mountain and playing in it is one thing.. but having to live with it on a daily basis? Ick. Not to mention frostbite and the horrors of frozen pipes.

I'll take the freaks and earthquakes any day

Personally I'll take shoveling a bit, and watching the kiddies squeal happily on their sleds, to trying to make the ground hold still, and ducking all those bad sunside effects...lol. BUT, it's been a tough winter here, I'll admit. Normally we have about 2 real storms and 2-3 polite dustings, which make the countryside VERY pretty while they last. Don't fear the snowy side of the country, we'll just dress you up nice and warm!! And snuggling in front of a fire on a cold night is a worthwhile experience all to itself....😛 Q

I think this is the 1st time the Yankees actually got snowed out. I know they played opening day in the snow in 96...I was there. But I do believe this is the 1st time they cancelled due to snow.

Well its 3pm and we have maybe an inch so far. I think because the ground had warmed up a bit it seems to be taking a while for the snow to start sticking in the street, mostly grassy areas. Hopefully it won't be as bad as they say...
