Bad news about Tux Girl

Last night, my friend Amy (Tux Girl) was hit by a car. She is still unconscious, and it's still touch and go. I know a lot of people in the chat room got to know her, and I thought I owed it to those people to tell you the news. It is possible (though thankfully not likely) that she won't survive this.

I really appriciate any support you guys can give. Thanks for reading.

My goodness! Lynchy, that's terrible. I can sympathize with what you must be going through... almost 8 years ago, a friend of mine was hit by a car. Unfortunately, she didn't make it. It was certainly a devastating point in my life. My prayers are with you and Amy.

Putting this back at the top, i'd just like to say that although I cannot pray, I do send my best wishes and luck and hopes that Amy will pull through and be on her way to a speedy recovery. And even though I do not know her personally or have ever met her online, a fellow human being deserves our respect and our caring, kind words and thoughts.

Thanks for all your support. Wow, you guys have really helped!

Amy is still unconscious but now stable. She's out of danger. They don't know how long it'll be before she wakes up, but it should only be a couple of days at the most.

It's really hit me hard, seeing her like that. There are tubes and machines all over the place. Not nice. But the help and support I have found on the TMF has been a great help to me. Thankyou.

I will keep you all posted on Amy's progress. I owe you that.

Good news!!!

Amy woke up last night, and she's okay. She' staying in the hospitla for a while, just to get checked over. All she's got from the incident is a bruised rib or two, and a scratch on her head where she landed (ouch!).

She's having the occasional headache, which the doctor people are looking at, but she's had a neuro scan and it's clear.

Just thought I should let everyone know, and thanks again for your support. Amy asked me to pass this message on:

"Hi everyone! Thanks a lot for rooting for me. Hopefully I'll be back soon, and I can get with the tickling again! You never know, I might even join the TMF myself..."

Now that WOULD be cool! Thanks again.
