Another horrible attack on completely innocent civilians! Horrible! My condolences to all the victims' families.
BTW, the local Islamic groups are fanatic enough to do this on their own, without Al Qa'ida. But I wouldn't exclude that possibility either. May all damn terrorists rot in hell!!!

Apparently it was an internal attack with no outside assistance. The Indonesian President, Megawati, is very popular in the Hindu area of Bali and this attack was likely the work of Muslim extremists who want to de-stabilise the Indonesian government.
So far 30 Australians aren't coming home alive, with 180 still missing.

My sympathies to the Australians, Biggles. 🙁 Whoever or wherever this attack came from, these fanatics must be stopped. 😡 I'm glad most of us are coming down hard on these cretins.

To hijack this thread back on topic...
I think it shows very poor planning on behalf of the terrorists to strike a blow against 'western decadence' by bombing tourist spots.
Without tourists, what's Bali? Just another third world hole in the ground with some nice scenery. I'd say 2/3rds of the population gets some or all of their money through tourism.
You'd think that with all the so-called 'meticulous planning' that went into this attack, they'd have thought about the long trm effects on their country.

EVERY nation on the planet has a 'holier than thou' attitude when it comes to self-preservation.
Now, when it comes to the response in this thread, please don't let it make you think that Americans are without feeling. There is no telling where an extreme attitude will pop up. Poll the lot of us and I bet you'd find more sympathy here (than anywhere else in the world) for the victims and families of the Bali incident. MOST of the US has a marked passion about terroism right now especially since 9/11. Go figure!
