Well, the inevitible has finally happened. MTP Jeff has permanently banned me from the TMF. There's a thread about it in General Discussion.
I have mixed feelings over it. On the one hand, I made a lot of friends over there and had lots of fun over the years. I will miss the interactions with the few good people that haven't already abandoned the TMF. On the other hand, the TMF isn't the cool place it used to be. In years past, there were many interesting and intelligent discussions on a wide variety of topics. Now, it's mostly an inner circle to whom I refer as The Clique, which dominate the forums with lolcat speak, pictures of themselves sucking on pacifiers, (go take a look if you don't believe me) and collectively emasculating the poor slobs that actually were attracted to them.
Why and how did I get banned? Well Jeff posted a long-winded explanation and went to a lot of trouble to paint himself as the ever-patient benevolent administrator that "resisted" banning me for many years; while simultaneously painting me as the Osama Bin Laden of the TMF. He talks about his tireless efforts at discussion and warning, etc., but anybody that knows him would laugh at the notion. Jeff's hot-headed ill temper is pretty well known if not well talked about. He has publically called me an asshole on numerous occasions and and when somebody dared agree with me when I questioned one of his calls, Jeff called him a "social retard;" actions which blatantly violate his own Golden Rule. But then again, Jeff was never a believer in leading by example, but rather through ill-tempered bullying, threats, and intimidation.
The only warning I ever got from Jeff was back in June when he banned me for 30 days. He warned me the next ban would be for 90 days, then a year, and then a full out ban. Well, there was never a 90-day or year long ban. This is one of many instances of Jeff going back on his word.
The truth is that like every other punishment they've doled out, not one time could they point to any breach of forum rules. I knew the TMF rules better than anybody. They banned me because my views on women-beating (they call it BDSM), adultry (they call it Polyamory) conflicted with those in The Clique.
Other excuses for banning me include their assertion that I'm a line walker; that I walk the line that defines acceptable behavior. My response to them was always the same. You guys drew the line, not me. If you don't like where I'm walking, draw another line. LOL. Imagine a cop pulling you over for driving 55 MPH when the posted speed limit is 55 MPH, and you might begin to imagine what my TMF experience was like during the last year or so.
Jeff was a good guy but has now let his enfatuation with teenage girls dictate his forum management decisions. If you go to Crystal Light's profile, you'll see numerous messages of "I love you" from Jeff. My last two bans were because of things I said that he was worried would make her uncomfortable.
Let me close by saying that for years I liked Jeff and considered him a friend. We were always glad to see each other at NEST. It saddens me to see what he's become, and I hope and pray that some day he connects with a real woman and comes to his senses. I wish him no ill will, nor do I plan on serupticiously participating in the TMF under alternate screen names. The magic is long gone. It's time for me to move on.
