Now, unless your name is Khali/PsylisiaDragoon, you may not have heard of these video game girls. Just for the record, Khali did get all of them right. Barefoot video game girls is a specialist subject of hers.
Since I don't have time to play guessing games with you lot, I'll reveal off the bat who these barefoot girls are and what games/series they came from. From left to right...
Sinclair (Art of Fighting 3): The Art of Fighting is series quite a few people should be familiar with, with the likes of Yuri, King and Kasumi being well known for their King of Fighters appearances. Sinclair was one of two females (the other being Lenny Creston, also from AoF3) from the series to not jump to KoF. She has a nice look, outfit, and the fact she's a barefoot Indian fighter scores points. Out of the 4 girls here, she's the most underdeveloped personality wise, and it's unlikely she'll appear in KoF. That said, Hwa Jai was brought back recently, so you may never know...
Rulue (Puyo Puyo series): Arguably the most well known of the four, she's one of the main antagonists of her series. I put her in this pic 'cos most casual won't reach her (she's usually the sub-boss of the game). While her outfit has changed over the years, I stuck with her classic barefoot Greek goddess look. In the game and some anime sequences, she's potrayed as a jealous and domineering martial artist in love with lead villain Satan and is at loggerheads with heroine Arle. Look her up on YouTube to check out her antics.
Red Snake (Martial Masters): Considered to be a Taiwanese answer to Street Fighter III, Martial Masters is a decent game. While it's stiffer and nowhere near as fluid as the top 2D fighting games are, it plays very well, and has 3 nice-looking women in the game: Crane, Saojin, and Red Snake. The latter of which is a vain exotic dancer of sorts who wears a nice green outfit and is betrothed to serial womaniser The Scorpion (no, not from MK). I must say, her feet are quite animated in the game (toe spreads, arching, etc.). If your arcade place doesn't have it, download it for MAME. You'll enjoy it, I'm sure.
Himiko Yamatai (Keio Flying Squadron 2): Old school gamers have faint memories of the Keio series, as it was released on not-so popular formats and had limited releases in Western markets, but they were fun and wacky nonetheless. This girl is one I took notice of when I was a teen for obvious reasons. She's fully clothed wearing nothing on her hands and feet. She's a thief and rival to the lead character Rami, but that's all I know about her.
To have them together in a plausible situation (yeah right), I have them somehow time transported to the Puritan era where barefoot foreigners are punished (the girls are Indian, "Greek", Chinese and Japanese respectively). You couldn't make it up. Their soles are licked clean by goats as penance. Doesn't have to make sense, does it?
