These shows are as funny to me today as in the 1960's. You see them differently as an adult but the humor and lessons on life still ring true. Was Barney in the self service Otis suite? Barney did "hog" the Emmy's versus Andy's straight man. All the Mayberry folks were always worth a visit. I can't imagine anyone else as Barney, so I'll Nip it in the bud.

I vote for Barney Miller.....just sayin...

A wonderful comedian. There was a chemistry between Don Knotts and Andy Griffith that can never be recaptured, I think. One of my favorite TV shows of the 60s, it was never the same after Knotts left and went on far too long. When the magic is gone, let go.

Good choice, Bug! Also love the episode where Barney bought an old motorcycle with a sidecar.

Tried to find a clip featuring Barney's theme music.

Not coincidentally , Ralph Furley is also our greatest landlord :

The funniest episode ever is when Fife got hosed on that car.

Watch him get lubed and fucked by an old lady.

Don Knotts was great in the 60s as Barney Fife and the Incredible Mr. Limpet. But I really hated the character Mr. Furley in Three's Company. The Ropers were much better.

The Ropers should have stayed on that show. Their spin off was basically jumping into the shark tank without skis.

Thanks Drew. There are so many, it's impossible to pick just one. Sam posted a great one too.

I have to agree. Never really cared for that show anyway, but Furley grated on ones nerves.

Here's a funny Fife montage:
