I've just discovered that the BB version here 'helpfully' inserts an extra line between paragraphs when pasting in a multi-paragraph chunk of text (in this case a story). I was able to work around this by removing the extra lines I'd put in my original text to produce the formatting I wanted, but this is still the sort of 'feature' that makes me want to scream "STOP TRYING TO BE HELPFUL!" at the software and its programmers.
At least it didn't 'helpfully' escape the BB-codes I put in for italics in my original text. But that is how it should work in general: Text pasted into a text box should be treated exactly like text typed into a text box, without the BB software adding 'helpful' edits to the text simply because it was pasted rather than typed.
