When Ross found out his problem, he decided to call the overseer on the MIA sale, and asked for money from the $100 million to tide him over.

John Fish offered Ross a deal. "Come up here, one day, back and forth, bring a nurse to protect yourself, and we will do and sign a deal. I think I have enough people to send you home with a check for anywhere from between one hundred grand, and a million bucks" John said.
"Okay, let me know, I will call a nurse, not tell a certain person, and will be up tomorrow or whenever you need me" Ross said.
Ross "nervously" worked in the office. While Kayley had offered to give Ross money, Ross's stubborn male pride did not want his wife to feel that Ross could not make a living to help support himself and his wife.
Finally, by Wednesday of that week, Ross got a call from Fish.
"Energy Field deal tomorrow, fifty or one hundred people, some guaranteed to sign. Come up with a nurse, we do the show, you tell Kayley you have a late meeting, dont stay over, and she will never know a thing" John said.
Ross arranged for a nurse, made a 7 am flight to Toronto. and did not say a word to Kayley.
When Ross got home that night, he told Kayley that he needed to go out of town for the day, but fibbed about the destination.
"I have to take a train to near Hanover, Pennsylvania tomorrow to discuss an important deal. I will bring a nurse, and go there and back in the same day" Ross said.
Kayley looked at Ross cross eyed. "I dont like it, but since it is only a train, and you will have a nurse with you, I will bite my tongue" Kayley said.
The next morning, Ross got up early, and kissed Kayley goodbye. "Three to four hour train ride there, deal meetings, and then home. I will call you later to let you know what time to expect me home" Ross said.
"Okay, please be careful" Kayley said.
Ross met the nurse downstairs in the building, took an Uber to JFK, got on the plane, and was in Toronto and in the office by nine.
Ross and John went to the fields outside Toronto, where they met two hundred and fifty investors, a lot more people than had originally been expected. The men took buses out to the field, where the Canadian subsidiary of RFS was explained to them.
Seventy five people committed to sign,.
The people who committed to sign went to a huge lunch hosted by John and Ross, before Ross headed to the airport to make his 6 pm flight home to JFK.
The flight landed after 7, and Ross entered the apartment about 8.
The nurse helped sit Ross down, and then Kayley said, "Thank You, I will take care of it from here"
The nurse left, and Kayley shot a look at Ross. "So how was "Hanover?"
"Oh, fine, we accomplished some things" Ross said evenly.
Kayley glared at Ross again. "You dont think I know that you are lying to me, and where you really were today? What do you think I am, stupid? I know for a fact that there is no way with how you've been feeling that you never would have gone to Hanover. I know that you were in Toronto doing a nice little energy deal today, and that the only reason you have not gone to OKC is because you have me here watching you like a hawk! I'm furious about two things. One that you put your health in danger when you promised me you would not, and two that you lied to me!" Kayley said her voice riising , but not screaming.
"I'm sorry. I will sleep in the den until further notice" Ross said, looking down like a punished child.
"You dont have to sleep in the den. When I dont want you to touch me, I will just tell you please dont touch me. I thought we had gotten past the point of you lying to me about business. I thought that our relationship had gotten past that" Kayley said.
"Kale, please understand. I am so frustrated about all the BS that is going on with RossShell. You know that whenever RossShell gets to be too much, I fly out of here, do an energy deal or something else with Fritz, Steve or John, and feel better. I cant even take money from my own company for the month. Even the one hundred mil from MIA is a pain to get to! I needed to do this deal. Now I guarantee that I will stay put until I feel better from the shot, okay?" Ross said.
"That would make sense. The shot is only a couple of days away . Just try to calm down and let things come. How many people did you sign, and how much money did you make from your running? " Kayley inquired.
"We signed seventy five investors, with another twenty five maybes. Figure at least a seven figure commission. I have to figure it out. I showed Fish my monthly draw from RossShell and told him the problem, and he gave me an advance on my commission The difference is, I made this money, and the Canadian subsidiary of RFS owes it to me anyway for the deal I just did. If I took it from you , it would just be a loan. Do you see my point?" Ross asked.
"Not really. You're splitting hairs, but it is over and done with. I hope that tomorrow is a quiet day. I would normally tell you to rest tomorrow, but since you are not going in the day after due to the shot, what you do tomorrow is optional. I will still go with you on the day you get your shot instead of a nurse for moral support, and because you are still my busband, and I still love you to the end of the earth even if I feel like I want to wring your neck sometimes" Kayley said.
The couple got into bed. They kissed goodnight, did not make love., and Ross just lied there.
