The last time I was on an airplane was Sept. 1995. I am sure a lot has changed since then. What are the better airline companies nowadays?

In August 2013,I may be taking vacation in Loveland,CO. There are nonstop flights from Philadelphia to Denver, just under four hours.

Here are some choices. I do not mind paying more for a flight,as long as the service is good,.

Frontier

United

US Airways

Southwest. These are the under four hour flights.

The over four hour flights are........
American
Delta
I guess they must have a nonstop plan.

I've flown on nearly every major airline in the country. I found Southwest to be the best for a couple of reasons...firstly...they do not charge you to check in bags...it costs about $25 per bag on the other airlines. Secondly is they still give out free snacks and a drink at no cost.

There is no assigned seating in Southwest. You buy your ticket according to grouping and pick your seat.

Southwest would be the choice my man

Thanks Jhop. :ty:

i have only flown once in my life and that way on us airways i did not have any issues no extra charges drinks were free and i did not die so im happy lol

I have flown Delta, US Airways Airtran and Southwest and Thank you for those who have chosen Southwest thats the airline I work for and we appreciate your business

I gotta agree with Southwest. First the money, its a no brainer usually. But I flew with them and was terrified at the prospect of flying. The attendant knew right away my predicament without me saying a word and was above and beyond it putting my mind at ease during all phases of the flight. That kind of service alone won them my business for good. Hardly any hassles with them in any point of the flying process, and you can do pretty much everything except get on the plane online.

I have to agree, Southwest is hard to beat. The one thing I'll not thrilled about is the lack of assigned seating. I'm a big guy at about 6'3" and really need an aisle seat which I can't always get on Southwest.

Bugman: What you can always do is one of two things The next time you fly Southwest like other airlines you can check in 24 hours prior to departure, If at all possible be at your computer and on the webpage for Southwest. The moment that it's 24 hours prior check yourself in for your flight and you'll have a higher boarding letter and number ie: A-3 the other thing is you can always ask a person who does have an isle seat if they dont mind letting you sit there. I am a BOS ( Boston ) stationed crew member and I approve this message

I have flown on pretty much every airline based in the States and I'm gonna go with the Southwest crowd.

Never had an issue and their prices usually beat out everyone else's when heading towards my destination.
