Kirk and TOS/TMP for me.

kirk seemed to be the funniest, while picard seemed to be the ebst. archer was a great mix and i liked him as well. sisko kind of sucked for a good part of the dsn series

My battle would be between picard and sisko, picard because patrick stewart was such a fine actor and he evolved so much from being the kid hating hard nosed captain to one of acceptance and control.

Sisko cuz i liked how ds9 followed a linear timeline and they developed his character so well, with the death of his wife and his constant struggles of being a prophet to a race of people and doing his duty, heh plus he got to meet kirk once.

Picard was my favorite. He's the "thinking man's" Captain. And I'm a thinking man... even if sometimes I'm thinking with the wrong head.

Picard was the best actor and TNG was the most believable of the series, though Kirk was an interesting character in his own right and is my second-favourite of the captains.

I didn't watch a WHOLE lot of DS9 compared to watching Next Gen religeously when I was a kid...But I'd say I like Sisko the best for the same reasons Goodie stated.

I'd have to give it to Kirk. I like Picard and the others of TNG, but there is just something about the first bunch that made the right mix.

Interesting responses. as I said, Kirk is my fave, but i liked sisko as the second best because they are similar in some ways, yet different enough for sisko to be a good character in his own way.
